Its already been confirmed. One of these articles should mention it. Not in mood to reread all of these.

Thanks!
Well yeah, that's a given. Most of the rangers I see play Gloom Stalkers or Horizon Walkers.
The Unearthed Arcana Ranger will never become oficial, it was tested and it was proved not balanced. This UA ranger is nothing new, it was just a test, as anything in the Unearthed Arcana.
Some stuff that apear in the Unearthed Arcana do become oficial, but UA Ranger is not one of these things.
Anyway, the oficial Ranger class is awesome, it has very good combat potential and access to very good spells that most people don't even know how to use properly.
Rangers are one of the best archers (Samurai is officially the best one) with mathematical proof all over the internet.
It seems Larian is listening to fake news and disinformation.
Non-subclass Ranger features outside of spellcasting and the spell-that's-actually-a-class-feature Hunter's Mark are pretty lame as well, especially for the level ranges we're going to see in this game.
Lost count of how many campaigns I DMed with a Ranger in the group, and not a single one (with the exception of a BM, that indeed sucks) ever complained or feel underpowered.
Actually, the Ranger class was outperforming the fighters (champion) in many situations, both in and outside combat, but especially outside combat.
So, with the exception of BM, all this talk about Rangers bad performance compared with Fighters is a big fake news, and even after the nerf in the healing spirit this still holds true.
That being said, every other Beastmaster feature is fantastic
Champion Fighters are the posterchild hit things with big stick archetype, oft regarded as simple and lackluster outside of critfishing, so that's not exactly a ringing endorsement. Especially when Battlemaster and Eldritch Knight exist right across the aisle.
Speaking of lackluster options: Arcane Archer.
Features we're sadly not likely to see within the level ranges in BG3. Well, except Paladins and Find Steed (if implemented) exist, so there's that. And even if the mount dies, they're still Paladins with all of their subclass features fully intact.
Current target is level 10, but subject to change last I checked.
Exceptional Training is okay, but pretty sad for a 7th level subclass feature reliant on keeping wet tissue paper alive when the other subclasses get Multiattack Defense, etherealness once a round per rest, or straight up Wisdom save proficiency.
Bonus action to Disengage, Dash, and Help is good for wet tissue paper, and it makes your pet's attacks magical.
I'm guessing we'll know when the EA hits.
