Seriously: The Ranger

Guys, does anybody know if they are implementing the vanilla Ranger, or the upgraded, more balanced Ranger of DnD 5E? I mean PLEASE Larian, give us a Ranger that doesn't SUCK. Some people really love that class, but how can we prefer it, or even choose it having choices like the fighter? the pally? the rogue? the druid? we want to feel like Minsc!!!1

There is no one stopping you from playing whatever class you want. Just because something in your own opinion is better, doesn't mean you can't play Ranger and have fun with it.

It won't be the vanilla ranger. WoTC has been telling Larian all about their plans to make ranger better, and thats what BG3's ranger is based on.

I play ranger beastmaster. Sometimes I play Battlesmith Artificer to remind myself what good class features/pets are.

That new Undead Patreon warlock seems really good. love all the synergy with its features. i wish more subclasses had that synergy

I know about those, but I'm looking for confirmation that the Baldur's Gate Ranger is based on WotC's improved ranger design.
