Simple Question. Can we get drunk in a tavern?

My favorite part of D&D is after a long hard dungeon is coming back to a familiar place to party and rejoice our victory with a nice mug of ale. I'm hoping to see something like that in this game. In my opinion, good downtime activities are a must in D&D.

hopefully this happens but i'm not sure that it will... Going by DoS2 drunk status will disappear before anything funny or useful happens... I could be wrong, if this time buffing actually exist out side of combat... That reminds me of the doctor Leste and Dain quest bugged as hell, maybe they learned something and we get a proper drunk - drinking quest...

The part where I mentioned the "charm" spell you should have kept, and just trim it down a little that's all. You're just being lazy & cruel to me. j/k. =P

Oh and speaking of the charm spell idea, you can see it in action on BG1. On youtube they posted all the times you can charm an NPC & there was new unique dialogue from it. I'll post it here, they should really consider doing both the drunk & charm dialogues. It doesn't even have to be a huge thing, just a couple Npcs like in Bg1. They showed in the gameplay today Firewine so hopefully you can get drunk. Maybe in your camp or in a tavern. Fingers crossed. :)
