Baldur's Gate 3

Your OC is canonically dead!
https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Abdel_Adrian

Abdel Adrian corresponds to the protagonist in the Baldur's Gate Series of games

Around 1482 DR, on Returning Day, his half-brother Viekang engaged Adrian in a fight in the Wide of Baldur's Gate's Upper City. The fight's winner was the last surviving Bhaalspawn and transformed into The Slayer, heralding the resurrection of Bhaal, god of Murder

Assuming this is set after Descent Into Avernus, that would place the in-game year some time after 1494 DR.

Which means he died 12 years ago.

Sorry dudes.

My personal canon is the only thing that matters to me. BG3 is going to be a new take and they can do whatever they see fit with their version of the character.

sure, but they carried a casket cause you died, when you die you aren't living on another plane, your soul has left your body and is moving on, your dead. plane travel=/= dying friend

In a way it is plane travel.
in a way, sure, but its different then bring your physcial form with you to travel the planes, you dying(see:dead) and your soul moving up to the afterlife isn't you "plane traveling" but its actual meaning.

or there wasn't actually a body left and the casket was symbolic like is often done in real funerals when the body was lost or destroyed?

brain use = not you, friend.
oh they said there was nobody in the casket? or are you creating a hypothetical to suit your needs?

things to consider.

you dont hold a funeral for someone plane traveling though, in either case.

literally all i'm saying is things that are possible. not trying to make up canon, unlike you.
It's entirely possible they THOUGHT he was dead, but he wasn't.

imagine trying to claim im trying to make up canon when your saying they're dead but not dead
Not like death has to stop you in D&D. The right person with a 'Resurrect' spell, or your soul traveling back from the Outer Planes, are just two options to bring someone back.

It would require a Wish spell to transform the Slayer back into a regular human.

If I were the DM, I would require the players to bring the Slayer down to 0 HP. Severely weakened, but not killed out-right, and only then allow the use of the Wish spell to restore Adrian to his former self. (Killing the Slayer, and then using Wish to resurect the Bhaalspawn would just bring the Slayer back :lilacstare: )

Of course, each DM is different. Especially when it comes to the Wish Spell and what they will allow.

imagine making yet another stupid strawman because you're a brainless idiot who can't argue
My Shepard - kicked the Reapers out of the Galaxy and then partied in the ruins of earth before she helped rebuilding what Casey Hud ... I mean the Reapers destroyed

My Grey Warden - married Alistair, became Queen of Ferelden, battled Darkspawn, found a cure for her affliction and had three babies, none of them named after Duncan the grey warden A-Hole and murderer

My Bhaalspawn - defeated Amelyssan, became basically a goddess, said "screw all this murder-nonsense" and instead travelled the planes of existence to find a heterosexual romance better than Anomen

DM: A massive figure with burning leathery wings appears before you. You have resurrected the Slayer, demonic minion of the Lord of Murder. Good job.
