Goblin Slayer is a D&D based anime... change my mind.
Im just saying
theres alot of references in Goblin Slayer
that the whole story and the fictional universe surrounds implications of it being one D&D game
with "Gods" rolling dices on the fates and way of the world...
and how the titular character Goblin Slayer a.k.a Orcbolg was so randomized and unpredictable that he became the "Gods' " favourite in a sense that no matter what they do, despite not being blessed with any special traits... he does stuff.

its probably closer to low fantasy then your standard D&D setting, but they can be compared.

hes a classic Fighter/rogue multiclass, at the very least

No.

I mean, it clearly is D&D inspired. It wouldn't be the first time, the entire 'Record of the Lodoss War' series is an unabashed D&D homage.

Maybe this was a troll post, but in a way you aren't actually wrong.

it wasnt a troll post
but just an idea on what to do once game release
make an unsocial main character picking a less than talkative response
as you kill your enemies with extreme prejudice

D&D is a D&D based Manga, the anime came later.

Indeed, the GS Gods are D&D players, and seem to play by 3rd Edition (Best Edition) rules.

Also true. D&D was HUGE in Japan, and still is. Most Isekai draw directly from it.

Im writing 2 isekais right now.

One is not really isekai but dark fantasy.

The other is a comedy isekai which made ppl on discord a bit unnerved at how i can come up with such odd ideas on jokes, concept and etc.

I hope one day it becomes a hit and gets animated.

Dark Fantasy? Go full Warhammer, or go home!

I want hopelessness and dread to the extreme, as fascistic angels and hedonistic demons fight for the rulership of reality, and humanity is but a footnote and plaything of inhuman power.

Its kinda inspired from berserk and warhammer

In terms of dark topics
But it borrows heavily on isekai and my hate for generic isekai

Isekai is indeed way too formulaic, right now.

Proper Fantasy hasn¡t seen a good product in ages, and I am tired of the "regular nobody on Earth becomes mighty hero in another world" trope.

Let me have just a proper fantasy setting without someone from Earth.

That being said, Overlord was great!

i mean....they were already showing the gods of the world rolling dices to determine the fates of the characters. And it was even mentioned somewhere that GS himself doesnt let anyone roll the dices for him.
