I'd also like to see heavy investment in lore, lots of books and easter eggs, etc.
Things like a complex, grand story, and whatnot, are givens. To me it's the little things that make it memorable.
and winthrop referance. or at least an inn as clean as an elven arse.
ikr
i mean LOTS. like 1000 worth of lots.
So much dumbing down of and streamlining of games these days (Remember when Dragon Age Origins was supposed to be a Baldur's Gate successor?
In a more tangible sense though, unlike the D:OS games where Larian obviously split their resources (which unfortunately showed in places) I want this to be a pure singleplayer experience through and through.
If they feel the need to tack on some multiplayer after the fact post launch that a handful of percentage of people may actually partake in then so be it; but I don't want that distracting and taking away from the core development.
I'm still new to these types of games and I never played a Baldurs Gate game before, I am noticing a loop of questing an area dry, drying up loot, and drying up enemies. By this point you are forced to move on to the next part of the story. That gets boring rather quickly. At first everything is alive, then some hours later everything is bland cause you already did everything. If there was something that prevented that from happening, and allowed the opportunity and incentive for the player to stick around for longer before moving on (such as farming enemies or loot or something), then I would be in love.
