Same problem - still no solution?
I´m unable to leave the game Settings (chose car and character for second player) because there is no possibilty to confirm for the second player when using only the keybord (or a controler without "confirm" button - SideWinder Joystick for example). It´s confusing because the menu allowes to calibrate the axis and setup the buttons, but just for the in-game Tasks ...

it has been confirmed that split screen can be used if one player uses the keyboard and the other one a supported controller like a XBox One Gamepad or a PS4 controller.

Fine, but if i do not have a XBox One Gamepad or a PS4 controller? Just with Keybord you get stuck in the game - thats anoying ...

Can you give me more details on what you mean by "stuck"?

If you only have a Keyboard, you will indeed not be able to play split screen.

Hi Krathius, and thanks for supporting this topic, although you´re the only one ....

With getting stuck i mean that you are not able leave the menu, or continue with the game if you have only a keyboard and if you have decided to play in splitscreen mode.

I have a joystick that works perfect when playing this game alone, but its an old more less modified Microsoft Sidewinder, so this one is not supportet for the game and its OK for me, but nevertheless i had the hope to play only with keyboard also in splitscreen mode with my daughter - she loves playing this game and i bought this game for that reason ...

Ok, thank you for the details.

Being stuck in the menu is indeed not normal. If you managed to access it in the first place, you should also be able to leave it.

Would you mind sending me a screenshot of the menu you are unable to leave, if you only have a keyboard?

to be more precise, i´ve checked the situation once more...
its possible to leave the menu with "ESC" but its not possible to continue in the settings menu for two players because you are not able to select or confirm anything for the second player without a second controller

Update: i bought an adapter cable to use my xbox controller, also with that - no chance to play in splitscreen mode

I have 2 Xbox One wired controllers (with USB adapter). I cannot chose anything for the second player either... Also, the right trigger doesn't work properly (on both controllers and they are in perfect working order). The trigger only allow to go super slow like (1/10 of normal speed). I had to use the right shoulder button to play the game, but again IMPOSSIBLE to set up the second controller... Had this game been programmed at 4 o'clock on a friday?
