Showdown at High Noon Force Lose

So I just went through this event, and the championship match was myself and Owen vs Mi-an and Yan. Mi-an never showed up in the ring. So as soon as the fight started, I picked my weapon, Yan stood there alone and the he immediately won! So I lost the championship because the game wouldn't let me fight!

(I have no clue if it might be related, but every time I speak with Mi-an, she just runs away while the camera is following her. Really weird to talk to someone who is actively running to the otherside of town.)

Dear builder, do you have any main story event going on when you participate in this event? That could be the reason NPC's movement gets affected.
