It covers up both this issue and this, described in another topic.
Started the new playthrough in case I missed something.
Well, the bug happened again. This time with Owen, his "On the House" introduction quest.
So it's not just Arvio or Venti, it's everyone. What I've discovered so far:
-Started to make saves at the end of current day, before midnight to be absolutely sure new day didn't begin yet.
-Went to bed. New day began, quest marks are present.
-Quick save. Load game. All quest marks will disappear from the map.
-Quest givers will give quests normally when talked to. Also when quest conditions are met, i.e. "make training sword for Burgess" - the mark on the map will appear correctly. So it's not the whole quest mark disappears forever, it's only quest starter marks. Which means taking all available quests first will make current day safe to save and load. Probably. In theory.
-However, as it happened already with Arvio, if the bug already happened to an NPC and it's quest mark disappeared at least once - it will disappear forever, for every other quest they'll have days later.
EDIT: Also, previous playthrough (saves provided above) I remember the quest for Amirah, when she asked for Clay. Each time it was the time to give her Clay - quest marks appeared correctly and showed her on map. And I loaded the game multiple times. Which again, proves the theory it's quest starting marks are bugged, if you already got the quests - these will work properly and all is well.
So far the only sollution I've came up with - make hard saves before the end of the day.
And do not load game (or leave) until you got and all quests available next day.
Or you'll bug NPC forever and are doomed to check them every day since then.
Basically it turns the game into Portia, either do a full day or restart (if you made a save yourself ofc)
Again, already taken quests are either staying normally or appearing normally.
