No party invitations

So I was going to hold my first party with the banquet table, but a main mission cancelled it automatically. Now, when I've finished the main story and start a party again, I get no invitations. I've checked all the pages of the inventory and tried gifting people, but there's no invitations. Help?

Edit: I picked up the Banquet Table into my inventory and placed it back down. This fixed the issue, but others might run into the same bug.
