Winter Barbeque Solstice

I remember the Barbeque as being really fun, and now it's not. No one ever comes over to my station, they only clump around the other townsfolks'. Someone finally did wander over and then they stood there, and it took them around half and hour to even tell me what they wanted to eat.

Is this a bug? The townsfolk wandered all over town kind of oddly this day, as well. Something isn't working very well.
