Can't see Owen on the map

Hi!
I got the skill where I am able to see al my friends on the map. I can see all my friends/buddy's on the map, except for Owen (friend). He was my only friend when I got the skill.

Could this be fixed? Thanks so much, I love the game
(and really want to stalk Owen).

Is he in the blue moon? For me it doesn't show up if he's inside a building.

On the map, on the left bottom there is a button with an "i". Click on it and you can turn off certain icons like shop icons. If you turn that off you will be able to see Owen at the blue moon. He's usually hidden under that purple icon. That's where he spends most of his time.

I was about to start a discussion about this same thing, I am friends with a lot of people and they are still showing up as just green dots, including my pets, instead of the picture the icon should be. I hope this gets fixed soon, so its's easier to track people down

@Angeleyes32 Make sure that you have Friend Icons selected on your map and that you have the Social Activity Level 2 skill in Social Knowledge.

I have the skill for it and have also checked the map settings several times, still no luck.....

Dumb question but... Are you sure you are at friend status with them? Make sure you have earned enough reputation to be able to see them. Does it say "friend" in the social tab? If that's not the issue I'm not sure what else it could be. I'd report it to the devs.

I figured it out, I actually didn't have the skill point I needed, I thought I had, thanks though

Yes he really was my friend at that point & I also did not see him in the Blue Moon! I was REALLY looking. But it got fixed: after a few in game days I began to see him. Very weird...

Typically I can't see peoples Icons if they are under a certain location icon (like Coop and Mabel's house or the like). I will zoom in and try "r" to cycle, but sometimes that still doesn't work as it doesn't always cycle to people. I just run in and check if he's not walking the train tracks that one day a week.
