I'm getting this too. Moving the machine to a different spot, then moving it back usually fixes it temporarily.

I have this bug as well, glad to hear it's getting fixed. Moving the machine makes the dust icon come back almost instantly but if I pick up the machine to my inventory and place it again the dust icon is gone for longer

Glad someone also has this problem ...was about to open a topic myself before i saw this here. Yes i got the same problem.

A temporary fix for now is to put up the machine and place it down.

Dusting items until machines get sparking, hard save, game restart also fixed it for me

I had this problem too - I did the "move the equipment around" fix and it's all good for now.

I don't think this is an issue with the feather duster. I had this occur when there was no sand piled on the machine at all. Picking it up and putting it back down still worked, albeit temporarily.

Another work around is to make a quick save and then load the save. The dust icons seem to go away then. This is a very unfortunate bug because it definitely affects machines even when there is no visible sand patches.
