I keep getting save failed and blank save spots even auto saves keep doing it.

I'd check how big your save folder is. If the total is over 1 GB, the game gets issues, especially (but not only) if you use Steam Cloud.

If that's the case, deleting enough still existing save games could in theory fix your issue.

Do you have Steam Cloud save enabled? You might wanna turn it off if you're not going to use it, and delete some of your earlier save files as syzara said to be able to solve the problem.

I have the same problem, but I don't know where to find the save folder. Can someone please let me know where to find it so I can have a look at it? I found the Steam Cloud save though, so I disabled that.

I have finally found out how to delete old saved files and it seems to have fixed the problem. Many thanks.

What was your fix, Kezzatrez? I seem to be having the same issue, wont auto-save, won't save. Tried a clean reinstall without much luck.

Edit: Weirdly, running steam as admin makes it work...

Sorry to ask but where did you find your save data? I'm having the same issue and can't find the folder location

Save files location:

C:\program files (x86)\steam\userdata\user id\1084600\remote

If you have Steam installed on a different drive, you should change the "C" into the appropriate drive letter.

I fixed the problem a while ago by deleting my old save files . The game worked fine after that . Thanks to some awesome people who told how to fix the problem. Thank you all for your help.

I panicked, then just deleted a few random early on photos and it let me save. Xbox game pass -cloud. I'd install but then I can't play it thanks to the controller issues lol (lenovo legion go)
