Cant find banjo

i'm currently doing the pet detective quest and I've been unable to find banjo anywhere. kept playing the game for like half a season but he's still no where to be found. realised that the meerkat has disappeared too. is there something i could do to bring them back? (on the other hand mason has come back, maybe it's related?)

Banjo runs off during the quest after you speak to him. Check the Blue Moon's kitchen.

Sounds like maybe you need to verify your game files. Mason shouldn't come back at that point in the game. He may come back at some later point in the game, who knows besides the game devs who aren't talking, but definitely not during the pet detective period.

unfortunately I can't find him to speak to him. seemed like a few people had the problem where they needed to look in the blue moon, but i honestly believe my cat disappeared from the game:(

unfortunately that didn't help, honestly so stumped, was quite far in game too and just hit a full stop :( thanks for the advice tho

Having the same issue, never found him on the map so the cutscene where he runs off to the blue moon never triggered. Now I am just stuck with the quest marker and no way to complete it.

Send a detailed bug report and a copy of a recent save file to [e-mail]

This page tells you where to find both the save files and the two log files. They'll need both the save file and log files.

I am having the same issue as well. I cannot find banjo anywhere and a whole season has gone by. The meerkat is gone as well and Mason has also returned. I wonder if this has something to do with the latest update that was released a few days ago?

Are you also not able to mine in the ruins? The ruins have been completely cleared of all dirt/sand on my game.

the ruins done that to me as well a couple of times, but seemed to go back to normal after i reset them
