Building the Recycler

I've started the game and have the task to build the Recycler. I have all the components except the wood, which states that it has to come from a recycler lvl1.
If I'm building the recycler, where do I get the wood? Am I supposed to track down the other builder?

you can get the wood from junk or from cactus

I have gotten 26 pieces of wood from junk piles. I even thought that I had to make wood sticks. But, the recipe calls for "Wood, Recycler Lvl 1 0/2)". I even got some different pieces that separated out of the list of wood and the recipe don't recognize those either.

I wasn't sure about the NDA, but I screen recorded the assembling instructions and it shows that 2 pieces of wood are needed and Recycler Lv1 is in red. I went to the Inventory and clicked on Wood and it showed Wood, Recycler Lv1 in the description. Apparently there's a glitch and I'll try starting over.

The wood from the junk piles worked for me. Have you tried walking around to the back of the recycler image on the build platform (which is where the wood is required) and trying to install it? Unlike Portia, you don't need the items in your taskbar.

I tried starting a second game, and it still won't accept the wood. I'm going to try re-installing the game.

I re-installed the game. And I still get them same error. I give up, hopefully someone from the developing team can figure out the problem.

I think i got it but not sure. Is your Windows set to English (USA) and game in english? -- when i change the langue in Windows it work, now i can place items.

It should be. I sent an email with the info and screen recordings. Hopefully they can figure it out.

Turns out I was standing in the wrong position on the platform when I was constructing the recycler. Once in the spot, it found the wood and it wasa built.

The "Recycler Lv1" in the description is red because it is one possible source of that resource, but you haven't built that machine yet. After you've built it, the option becomes white in the description. Right when you begin constructing, the game will point at two piles of rubble very near the railway, you can see both of them from the workshop and there's a blue "arrow" pointing downwards over them. There's wood in both of those.
