Other games with this social system
Hi,
Are there any other games with a similar social system to My Time at Sandrock? I'm talking about the interactions (going on a date, doing different activities, holding hands (especially walking hand in hand together!!).
I don't know, I really liked that.

Is there anything comparable?

The only other game would be Portia. After that the closest would be the Rune Factory Series. 3 4 and 5 the spouses can follow you into combat, but not hold hands

every other game is literally.. you work on heart events, you date them, you work some more heart events... marry them, then kinda forget they are there since all they do is stand in your house for a bit then leave to go back to where they usually were before. Typical bland marriage system

Logan is my go to spouse and I swear being able to take him with you to fight things is one of his big perks (in addition to Andy and Rambo). Once we get married he rarely patrols because I'm dragging him into dungeons most days.
This one is very cute and super fun and romantic. Haven
They hold hands . Take a look

I really love it, I just remember about it.

I do agree hand holding increases the immersion of the romance.

having your spouse help you out on the workshop/garden/pets/baby is also a good factor.

Being able to interact hug/kiss adds a ton more. And finally, and this goes hand in hand with hand holding, the ability to bring your spouse literally anywhere you go..

This creates a lot of things, enjoy lovely scenes with your beautiful spouse in it, riding horse together, taking lots of pictures and in the case of some spouses combat together..

atm there are no wives that can fight which is kinda lame since many of them can actually spare, but hopefully a future update can fix that

I don't think any other game can beat that atm (non sim game)

My Time in Portia goes without saying. But I agree that Coral Island and any Harvest Moon / A wonderful life series.

The Sims 2, The Sims 3, and The Sims 4 all have social systems that go well beyond what you'll get from this type of game. However, they are a totally different genre.

Basically any game that was inspired by the OG - Harvest Moon

Stardew valley
Rune Factory

There is another game starting with R
but i can't remember because it has a crazy name like Richeteller or something.

Wait why are people suggesting Coral Island..? It's the standard "heart event" type (like stardew), there's no activites and stuff like in Sandrock. I think everyone is misunderstanding what the OP wants.

The only one I know is Portia tbh. Rune Factory you can have your partner follow you around and fight in the dungeons with you, but there's not really any dating activities like Sandrock either. Most farming games follow the "romance event" format where a cutscene plays, and that's about it.

Hi,

Thank you for all the answers. Some games have already been mentioned, but the social system of My Time at Sandrock seems to be quite unique (except maybe My Time at Portia, which I haven't played that far).

It definitely has huge potential. My Time at Sandrock somehow managed to portray your partner as more than just a "bro" walking around next to you outside of video sequences. They even thought about using the size difference between the characters. I was first with Mi-An (short) and later with Catori (tall) and the animations looked different (holding hands worked a bit better with short characters though).

Imagine a Skyrim, Fallout or something with that (without mods) OR practically any game that's been recommended here. The cozy games in particular are fantastic for this.

I'm looking forward to My Time at ... (part 3) :D
