How to move biocrust on farm?

I have biocrust that I dug up with the intention of placing it elsewhere in my farm (an expanded area). However, when I try to place it, the place biocrust option does not show up. I have the biocrust in my inventory.

I believe you need the greenhouse.

Sorry, I misunderstood the question. If you want to move any plant you need to use the home editing

If it's biocrust current growing something you move it in the home editor, if you have already pulled it up and it's in your inventory you need to select the first planting choice in the planting screen and switch from straw to biocrust. It's the same mechanic you use to switch out plant seeds.

Ahhh, so it's under "straw" and not its own option on the menu... thanks! Yes, I had already picked it up.

Thank you. I was wondering why I couldn't use biocrust in certain areas and I want to move my planting area now that I have the max space.

You're welcome. It actually took me ages to figure this out in my first play and it wasn't until my 2nd play that I realized I could move plant beds that were growing stuff around, I though I was stuck with them where they were forever. It also took me ages to realize there were multiple rows of plant seeds to scroll in the menu, I was cussing trying to figure out how to grow mushrooms, lol.
