I hope it will help when choosing what you want before spending a load of gols to find it's not quite what you expected. There's also information about the footprint size to help plan your yard layout.

I've not included the build cost or list of decorations and furniture just in case the details change over time. Please refer to the Showroom manual for specific details.

It will be an ongoing project as it takes a while to do.
I'll post here when I've completed another template.

Isn't it better to make house L3 bigger from the inside by connecting the front and back? It would give you more room in the house, but I thought you might have a reason for it. If not, I'm happy to try if I can make what I mean and make it work, otherwise the backside is perfect for a small factory. Also, got any idea how to make the balcony reachable?

Okay after some editing I quickly found out you can actually make the 3rd floor accessible, and you can connect the internal house completely, gonna try and edit it as well as I can, can't say I can build a better house tho so I will gladly use your idea :D

Are there any custom templates made by other players that we can download and put in our game files etc?

There are templates with pre-made houses in the game in the showroom manual. I like using the M_02 Template the most.

I don't understand how the factory buildings are supposed to work, and if there's a tutorial in the game for it I must have missed it somehow. The only explanation I saw is that I can declare a building a greenhouse or factory using the paint roller button, but whenever I build a new room and try to declare it a factory the game just tells me "not enough items". I tried to place some machines (cooking station, blender etc) inside the prospective factory building, but the game will only let me place them outdoors.

So here's my question: Which items does a building require in order to become eligible as a factory?
