There's only a limited selection of items that can go over tables and other display compartments that don't have a specific category (like the weapon display or bookcase). Only books, the trophies you get, the miniatures from Amirah shop and the techno items can be placed. You used to be able to put food, but somehow they don't appear anymore as an option.

Would love to put a flowerpot or a small table lamp on it. Maybe in the future. I hope they are still working on the content.
