Timed out Logan fight (spoilers!)

Was I supposed to win that fight or just survive? Is the game continuing after a time-out with Logan satisfied in my skill a bug or a feature?

Some people said they failed if didn't win, but on my first try (on the second I was better prepared and won) I was short kinda 10% of his life and it did work all the same.

It could be that you only need to survive for the time limit (same as the corps test in Portia), or you can left some percent of his life or yet maybe it was a number of breaks and/or perfect dodges. In the case that you need to prove that you know how to fight, some buff food for critical really helps.

My understanding is that you just need to survive the time limit but you get an extra treat in the following cutscene if you win

I wasn't able to defeat him. I just outlasted the 3 minutes and the game continued on. I don't think it was a bug because the game is still in early access. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a level warning before you enter the caves in the final game, since there's no way I could defeat him as a level 36 button masher.
I do kind of hope they keep it the same way though. I like that there's usually multiple ways to accomplish anything in the game and I'm certainly not playing this because i'm interested in skilled fighting.

Must of not clocked it.... or is it The "YouCreepYou" Heart-click shows up if you win. You know, I have a feeling that the heart-click is more of a Rick-Roll after that other thread. hehe

No, it's the half-second flash of Logan's face you can see in the cutscene if you win, I've heard that's not there if you survive the fight for the time limit...I could be incorrect, though, I won the fight when I played through so I haven't seen how it goes when you just survive the time limit. And don't get me started on the cringe, I don't think that's gated behind anything except agreeing to help them out lol

Edit to Add: It's true, you don't get the mask drop. On a side note, Logan must be *really* old. Like older than his dad old.

All I did was run around in circles jumping up and down. I didn't even have to roll, except out of boredom. He didn't hit me, not once, or catch up and all I had out was my vacuum cleaner! True, it's blue and 12% mean to Sand so not to be taken lightly, but still.. Logan? Loose cool points?! /em the sads

He's trying to be too flashy, it's taking up too much time and causing him to advertise all of his next moves lol...once again, I am so happy that himbo!Logan is canon
