Question about the Logan Lair mission
After reading about all the problems with platforming, jumping and finding your way thru the maze when running the mission in Logan's Lair I decided to wait until the issues are fixed before resuming play. Unfortunately I'm REALLY bored and want to play Sandrock but I don't want to have to take on Logan's Lair. Can I do that? Is whatever quest/mission it is where the player has to get thru all those problems one that can be delayed? Or is it one that has a time limit or automatically starts when you wake up one morning?

All story quests are basically 'at your own pace' honestly though, i did the platforming with no issue, if you havent tried it yet, save before u start the rutabaga quest and go try it and see if you have issues

I didi with a game controler and, though it wasn't easy, it was possible without major problems.

You're not bound to be alike anyone else. As Jarlim well said, try and see what you feel by yourself. That's freedom :)
I'm keyboard and mouse and have problems with some of the platforming in Portia. Game Controller is NOT an option. I'm not going to try Logan's Lair in its currently reported condition, period. To be brutally honest if this issue isn't fixed then I will be uninstalling Sandrock and not returning to it ever. Some of us don't have the reflexes for twitch gaming and want a relaxing, minimal stress game. I have enough fecal matter in my life, I don't need more stress from a game like what the My Time At series is billed as.

Jarlim, yes I know most of the main story quests are not time limited but I would like confirmation that THIS specific one is not and that it is also NOT one where you are automatically sent to where it starts.

I did it with keyboard and mouse, I am a Skyrim Boy so somethings (Like the initial Spinny Car Ride) I "bypassed" through other means (no Mods).

Thank you.

I have no idea what you are saying there.

It means abusing terrain physics to essentially walk down along the wall edges to, a popular tactic in skyrim to walk straight up sheer mountains, just keep jumping at a slightly angled wall and letting your character rest on the lip in the terrain so can jump again.

Oh so when James T Kirk reprograms the Computer for the Kobyiushi Maru, he gets a commendation, but when I walk around an electrified Spinny Doodle designed to harm me, I am the jerk? Got it. (This is in good humour).

But seriously, who would willingly Jump on an obvious Trap?

Now I'm a little curious about the eletrified Spinny, because I didn't needed to deal with any of it and I run the local a lot until I found the correct path. But I confess I didn't tryed to get all the treasure chests. I'll keep my eyes open next time.

The spinning amusement park thing in Logan's lair, you can avoid that puzzle either by jumping on one of the arms and immediately jumping off again a bit to the left of where you started, or - with a few problems - you can turn right and run and jump along the cliff face to bypass the spinning thing completely. There's a bit of an issue 2/3s of the way around the right-hand cliff face but you can do it. I skipped that puzzle completely the second way.

you can play the story up until you get to the "rutabaga stew". Just don't finish that one by cooking it. That way you cannot progress to Logan's lair. I sat on that quest for a while while doing other things and it didn't effect anything for me.

The second you cook all the Rutabega it becomes Justices Only response (Can't turn in commisions to him).

They're planning on trying to fix the parkour area of his lair within the next week or so they said, so please be patient. It takes time to finish these things, especially when over half their team is currently sick with covid.

Not only that but the parkour isn't actually that bad, I actually bypassed it by accident my second time going through it, jumping where I wasn't suppose to because i forgot the path, and ended up on a block way down below past the ride and managed to go that way.

As others said, you can "Skyrim" your way through the ride by using the walls and basically standing on ledges the size of pencil tips if you manage to find them.

You definitely shouldn't stay away just because there are some complaints about the difficulty. If anything is remotely difficult, there are bound to be a few people who complain about it. Try it for yourself first.
