Ideas on getting and using items for Stamina Foods? Best ones? Need help - Overwhelmed!
I was working to find the best stamina food to grow/catch or kill. to replace the expensive store bought foods and meds. I just got the master chef cook stove and have enough Gols to buy the 4th expansion - (for farming? Maybe?) but my eyes glazed over as I tried to distill all this new information. (Can we make a still??) ~(:>)

I just need a couple of good recipes - that 1) I can grow in large quantities and 2) to make into simple stamina food that has a low number of ingredients - to keep cost down, with the most stamina possible. ... I Know! Tall order, any help is much appreciated. And thank you for helping us!
I have banked a lot of water by getting the most low cost ones allowed each day and a few extra in the winter when the market price is 9 - 10% down, and fertilizer too. Too few cow-pies in the fields to make gathering them any real help.
Thanks again for any wisdom you can impart on this old man!

My favorite stamina recipe is the sweet n sour pork ribs (which, incidentally, are delicious IRL if they're cooked right, with a Chinese-American restaurant style honey BBQ glaze...mmm...now I'm hungry, anyway, what was I on about again?)

Oh, right. Rib meat, obtainable from some of the bigger animals like alpha Wild Yakmels and Boxing Jacks, plus sugar and soy sauce which can be bought from the saloon and Arvio's shop. At highest friend level, both will give you a 25% discount off the base price, combine that with a flux in the market and you can get those ingredients as low as about 14 Gols a pop.

The dish restores 5% of max SP (so around 25-30 SP once you've got your level high enough and your gear as good as it gets.)

Also highly useful as stamina items are sweet potato bakes (they only give 7 SP per use, but you can make a lot of them real fast if you devote some farming space to sweet potato pepper plants) and dried sandacuda (32 SP, you can fish up sandacuda easily from the first fishing spot near the workshop, just gather some sandberries to use as bait.)

For a bit more of a challenge, there's the rutabaga recipe you get from the Logan's lair quest. The goat likes it but you can also consume it for yourself for a stamina boost.

Veggie Stir-Fry is probably the most powerful stamina item, at least at high level (restores 8% of max SP), but the ingredients are hard to gather. Alfalfa and Soy Sauce can be found in the snake-infested Bend or bought from Owen, Cilantro can be bought from the Mysterious Man, and you can grow or wild-gather the desert mushrooms, but it's still a slog to do. Great if you have everything you need for it though.

Hope this helps!

It does, A Lot! Thanks for taking the time to share it! I am about to buy another expansion of land and I will use it for farming right off - till I decide what to use it for longterm (coop or bunnery? Barn? Any thought on those?
Thanks again - that is a big help!

That and Sugar Fried Chestnut - Stamina +7 - While the stamina recovered is small, once the trees start to produce you'll have it free, and Sugar is cheap, so you can mass-produce as fast as the shops restock.

I also like Sweet Potato Bake - Stamina +5 - you can plant Wheat and turn it into Flour using the Blender, and both the seeds for Wheat and Sweet Potatoes are cheap and had a large production rate so it becomes very cheap to compensate the low stamina recover.

Steamed Sandfish - Stamina +2 every 2 seconds. Lasts for 30 seconds (total Stamina +60) - Sand Leek grows fast and Salt is also cheap.

For more fast stamina recover, the Dried Sandacuda - stamina +36 - is good to have some in hands in the case you want to finnish the mine floor and the day is near the end

Has anyone considered sandrice cake? The wiki says it's made with sandrice (growable) and sugar (must be bought for around 12 gols). It's supposed to give 1 stamina every 2 seconds for 30 seconds. I haven't unlocked farming yet, but I was thinking of using this after I do. (I'm dragging my feet on visiting that farm place while I buff my character.)

I just use dried Sandacuda. Once you get the advanced sand trap you can catch a lot of them easily, and if you've been faithfully collecting sandberries you'll have lots of bait.

They don't take any water or energy to prepare (no cooking) just lay 'em out on the drying rack.

Edit: BTW, for the first 15 to 20 levels, be sure to pop into the Blue Moon for two meal-of-the-day specials. At that stage of the game they add enough extra stamina to be worthwhile and they're quite inexpensive.

Looking at the wiki I see an Onion Cake (1 Sand Leek, 1 Flour, 1 Sea Salt) that gives 8 Stamina. Another good benefit-for-cost item.

As soon as possible, yes. For now, Tomatoes for the Rabbits, Chessnuts for the Chikens and for myself, Potatoes for the Yaks, Chilly and the other temper for Fang, not to mention Wheat, Sand Leak, Cantaloupes, Sandrice and the highly profitable flowers - my wather usage is already at the limit, but I'm close to a good stock, so I'll plant other things soon.
