Mission Unpossible - impossible jump

There is a jump I have to do to continue the Mission Unpossible. We've rescued Ged (?) and are now headed down into the mine. It says "LShift and Space to make a big jump." But it doesn't work!?! I'm holding down the W and left shift key and hitting space just as I get to the edge but just fall and have to try again...and again...and again...

Please help! What am I doing wrong?

BTW - the response lag in this area is horrendous. Not as bad was when I go to the Moisture Farm, but almost as bad. Should I reduce my screen size? Would that help the response time?

Any hints, clues and/or advice welcome.

Nope. The pinned comment is about the third part of that level. This is the second bit so before the area in the video. That region is broken too.

You are correct...It is the very first platform jump required in the mission. Ugh. I'm seeing other posts about these jump are really difficult for the average user. I know in MTAP, I'd just abort a level if it had these jumps. Or ignore getting a chest because I couldn't complete the jump.

You can jump on part of the wall and basically slide across parts of it if needed be for that area, but it only works for the walls that might have a sideways crack.

I finally made it past the platform jumps. It takes a fine control of holding down the left shift key and hitting W and the space bar. I think I just needed to hold both down at the same time. But since I missed many times versus succeeding, I never really figured out *exactly* what I did when I succeeded.

try changing sprint mode to toggle in options - controls.

Made it across to a area where the stalagmites came down and blocked the area, can not mine them or go back to jumping area can not find a area to go through

I'm having the same problem, just stuck behind a wall of rocks. Seeing the platform above where I need to jump up to is just making this more frustrating.

Screw this, I am going home.

This rock wall is making me want to go back to Dinkum. WTF, Sandrock. There is no jumping path, there is no way around that I have found. Sure, I'm full on stamina and health, but how the heck do I get to rescuing the Princess?

and the location of pinned command reminder (W+SL) blocks my view on chest content too

yeah this needs to go or have a better PC friendly Button combination as , as it stands it doesn't exactly work right, But putting your Sprint to Toggle does make it work to some degree But you still need to have a little Run up so using it from a ledge doesn't work well.
TBH i hate these types of things and would be better just to do it with a normal jump (if they want this Parkour crap in lol
