Farming interface is a mess.
Honestly it`s most awkward and annoying to use farming and planting method I have seen in games like this. Choosing the seed to plant is especially annoying scrolling to the extra interface for tiny seed packets that are hard to identify.
Hard to distinguish if what you want to plant is a tree with 2x2 grid or plant with 1 grid.
It pretty much makes you not want to deal with farming at all.
Part-time jobs growing food for saloon are on too tight schedule and could use few extra days to deadline, considering how close it cuts to plant being grown and deadline.

Are you talking about the singleplayer or the multiplayer? The two versions have different farming interfaces.

Farming in single player is really easy .. at first yes its like ok how do i do this, but you learn pretty fast how it all works ..

Easy, yes. Annoying, definitely.

Noted, appreciate the feedback

It does feel a bit weird. i kind of gotten used to it by now. They might want to look into other farming games and come up with a more intuitive farming interface.

Now, onto something else, after playing the game for a few hours, I noticed that the game became a bit laggy. Devs, are there any memory leakage that eat up the pc's resources? Or is this a matter of optimization?

Note: I know this is early release. As someone who bought and played the game for quite a bit, I thought I throw in my two cents about the game's performance.

We've heard a few reports on that, as this is still EA and the team will roll out another optimization patch on full release. Would be interested to see if its still the case after the full launch.

We'd also love to hear more feedback on the farming interface :)

I have grown comfortable with it, but it took a while. It is clunky in ways and I am no expert on farming games. So I hope it gets some love before full release.

You eventually figure it out but it`s still awkward and annoying to use. Feels like someone tried to invent the wheel thousands of years after it was already invented and made it worse then original.

The only major issue I have with the farming interface is that the watering is buggy.

You hover the square over a plot and it glows green, but then you click to water and it says "the plant already has enough water." It's like the game isn't fully aware how much water is actually in that square.

I prefer this method over the Portia's ones..You get used to it and you go super fast late game!Love it

Yes, I noticed this as well. Sometimes I think a plant is showing green as it has confused fertilizer with water in some manner. But yes, there is some inconsistency.

Yep, the sub menus are definitely clunky. Why not hide options for items you don't carry in your inventory? Not having to find that specific seed among 20 zeros would already go a long way.

Also a mode for creating straw grids only on existing soil would be nice, so you don't accidentally stamp out a larger plot than intended, which you have to remove afterwards.

Is farming different in this from Portia? I haven't played too far as I wanted the full release experience (even though I bought it awhile back). I thought it was fine if you didn't mind planters everywhere, and I didn't.
