Graphite?

Hi, quick question, can you get graphite in any way before Gecko stations? (Need it to build the tusses to get there)

Do you really need graphite, or do you just need steel bars? For steel bars, you don't need graphite, you can get them salvaging iron scrap from Rocky's junkyard (keep hitting the bus frame) and then recycling it.

If you really need graphite, then you can occasionally get it - I think it has a random chance to drop from crates, and Rocky's shop might also sell it, but I'm not 100% sure about either. I never needed graphite before accessing the mine that contains it in abundance.

I was looking for how to get iron ore / steel bars for the bridge, most guides on the internet just said to go to the gecko ruins, but those are obviously after the bridge. I must've missed that the Bus at the scrapyard gives the bars, so thanks a lot for that.

Isn't graphite those rocks in the desert? Like at the gecko station but in the desert area?

That is a huge catch 22 in my game also. I have the civil furnace to make the iron bars. I have plenty of Iron scrap from the junkyard but I can't make the bars without the graphite. Destroying buses doesn't work either. I have not gotten an iron bar in about a week of game play. Its frustrating. The only place I have been able to find bars are in *The Breach Hazardous Ruins*.

I am not sure if it is my imagination but it looks like the bridge gets extended every 5-7 days. I don't hang out at the bridge construction site very often. There might be something in the code that lets the game progress without completing the mission. I do wish that they would make Amirah or Hugo sell it. I guess I just need to wait it out.

Nops, you just need to recicle the iron scraps from the buss, they have a high chance that they'll give you the iron bars.

You just have to recycle the iron scrap from salvage yard, there is no need to wait for Gecko Ruin for that

Figured it out. Build CIVIL RECYCLER.

Farming the bus is the easiest way early on, you can farm graphite later on from the mineral nodes around gecko station. IT also drops in the ruins from dirt.
