Mian the mole

OK. Don't get angry, just consider. Mian has been in Sandrock for a year when builder arrives. How is it that she has a nice house in town. No other buildings are for sale. Her workshop is on a porch. She is not building very much at he present time. Do you have any thoughts about this?

Mi-an's house has always been the same building as where her workshop is.

Dan-bi and Rian live in a house across the street. Dan-bi is pregnant and the second room there is for their unborn child.

Not across the street, it's literally the same building. It's a duplex that was split down the middle the long way. Mi-an has an entrance on one side, Dan-bi and Rian have an entrance on the opposite side. If you've played Portia, it's like Presley and Albert's house. Same physical building, but Presley has a door facing the town, Albert has a door facing the wall.

You really need to go check. Danbi and Rian House is off the back of the Bluemoon with the Ramp leading up to Amariah's Kiln area and shop. Mian's Workshop is south of the Reasearch Center on an upper level, BELOW the stairway to RC Roof. Mian's House is to The South WEST Directly across from Howletts house. She is usually sitting on the couch in the afternoons.

Update: The MYSTERIOUS Man's House is below her workshop and they are adjacent (Abutting maybe a foot and a half), but not connected. For a second there I was concerned something had changed.

I figure Mi-an got there first because she's from Tallsky, the "City of Builders", and they probably advertised there first, and when they only found one sucker...er, taker...for the offer, they cast a wider net, and that's where the player comes in, having read about it in the Windy Times.

All the good builders from Tallsky probably took one look at the Sandrock offer, compared it to the likely other offers from all over the Free Cities, and had the same reaction the bounty hunters did, making Mi-an the Builder equivalent of Bronco the Kid.

IIRC there isn't any particular story progression lock on Mi-an's relationship. You do have to complete her romance quest (watching a film together) before she'll accept a marriage proposal, and your workshop has to be upgraded to, I think, at least level 5.
