Report a translation problem
It's always best to go a bit outside, for example behind the workshop, and cut down cactuses and trees there.
(Sorry for the bad english but i always use google translate for longer texts.)
It's also something realistic, as in some places irl it is literally a felony to cut big old cacti, who are basically like trees in many ways, and I think it's a nice touch. You just gotta be patient, not to use too much wood at first, and you'll get pleeeenty later.
(there's enough scraps, bits of wood from kicking the trees and buying some for what you need in early game before getting better tools, but that's just my opinion)
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I really thought we were not allowed to chop any tree in this game.
Me abiding the laws so much, didn't even touch other trees/cacti after being told by the police...
