You can beat him. You don't have to fight him till the meter is at zero. The battle ends before that.
Thank you!
You pick based on whether you take the quick-time prompt or not (taking the prompt saves Matilda, ignoring it has you chase after Logan)
Basically you chase Logan for a few seconds and then Haru sets off explosives to cause a cave-in between you and the Civil Corp boys, and him and Logan
I, too, was bummed, every time I, ME, THE AWESOME BUILDER/FIGHTER would kick butt and the cutscenes (multiple) show me on the floor. At least most people recognize how awesome I am.
I got tired of Sam telling me about her not wanting to be saving my butt in the ruins AFTER I saved her, Arlo and Mint. (At least Arlo and Mint thank you for it.) It's at least nice they added some proper acknowledgement this time around, even if it's through personal dialog.
Right?! Every Logan fight last play through I was kicking his butt with no regard to his name and then cutscene to either me losing or it being a draw. Even though I married him later (and will again this time), I took my pound of flesh by constantly humiliating him in the sparring ring. Nothing more satisfying then turning that lovely gun-slinging lunatic laugh into him on his knees pounding the ring floor in frustration - cue my lunatic laugh.
Instead of showing both cutscenes, we get one negative one, which also lies.
I will also say that I don't like this whole situation either.
The developers can still fix this and they are:
option A, three cutscenes: one is when the player actually loses to Logan and we get the original cutscene. The second one is Logan is still fighting the lawmen, but at that time Pen arrives and gives the final blow to Logan and then you know what. And the third optional one is that it is the lawmen who give the final blow to Logan.
It is an interesting, but expensive idea to implement
Option B Logan is very powerful: it means that he scales and is 10 levels higher than the player's team and instead of the "GAME OVER" screen we get the original cutscene.
In my opinion, this is the most interesting option because it is the cheapest to implement.
It would be even better if you combined both options.
And you're right!
Because I'm the type of player who likes to spend as much time as possible with this game. The more you do activities (especially when you are in the mine), the higher your level becomes, and the easier the game becomes.
RoseLady
You are a player who wants to get through the game as quickly as possible, avoiding activities, and this means that the game becomes more and more difficult.
And here's some advice, relax, it's not a timed mission. you can make commissions (overtake Yan by the way), you can complete side missions, you can also go to the mine to collect resources.
