Materials where?

Some materials are very hard to find. And when you dont't have these you are stuck.
Can you do a big market in the game wehere you can buy evereything for the missions!!!!!!!!!

Big markets don't make sense when Sandrock is a tiny dying town. The builder's role is to increase the economy of the town, after all.

There is a train, so it would make sense to set up a train exchange. It would be nice to let the builder order items from Amazon and get them trained over in a few days.

A lesson carried over from Portia is to never take commissions that demand uncommon items. It takes too long to collect the materials, and the payoff is not worth it. Stick to common commissions, it's better to crank out the maximum every day than to get stuck on a lousy one for a week.

So guessing you are stuck on the bridge and need iron bars. That gets a lot of people angry. What happens is that Rocky has a ruined bus in his scrap yard. The point is to scrap that bus for iron scrap and then use a recycler to get the iron bars and whatever else is needed for the Bridge.

Rubber scrap and some additional Iron scrap sources are between the fishing hole near the workshop and the Scrap Yard (I think this happens at the same time)

Edit: Also if get an ore seperator if you don't already have one. You will need it as some gemstones are rare and hard to get. You will need if you get commisions for rare or perfect items.

You don't need graphite to build the bridge, you need steel bars.

Have Qi research the Civil Recycler (Recycler Level 2). That makes iron scrap spawn in Rocky's yard, recycle that to get the steel bars.

You'll get graphite after you finish the bridge.

I'd be surprised if they don't add a market at some point. In portia you could build the harbor that would trade materials, the devs will probably implement something similar but it will be close to endgame.

They sometimes use steel to mean iron and vice versa. Not a big deal but I wish they'd make it consistent. Like the iron sword should really be a steel sword since it's a finished product (and made out of steel bars).

You don't need to pay Rocky to access the bus. You can, but it's not needed. There are four sleep chambers (two outside Paradise Lost, 2 inside) that will respawn every day. You can gather all four daily and then do other gathering. You'll have PLENTY of iron bars, even before you can mine them.

Mangnanese ore however, ugh! (before you get over the bridge)

The resource I find the most frustrating is fluorite and getting over the bridge doesn't help at all with that. Too many items need it for upgrading compared to other gems that actually can be gathered. So far I think this is the worst items in terms of balance in the game currently. All the other ones are more that the commission board gives you too many things you cannot make in any sort of quantity until you're over the bridge.

I'm going to have to test that trigger as it only ever happens for me after beating the President. Will try next playthrough to see if I can get it sooner.

Flourite you can get from the recycler - recycle copper and stone i think it is .... if i have enough resources i run them all day .. i mine every day unless i have to do important comissions etc ...

Not from stone. That would be nice. But, no, from other ores I need for other things, hence the issue.

Guys remember the game just got release, were getting content updated this month and there are many many months of content updates worth to come. I am sure by the end of next year the game will be in a much much better state of existence. And who knows perhaps many people buy the game that some of the kickstarter stuff they did not reach actually gets added to the game? :)

Both conditions seem to be required but when people ask about Graphite sources or missing resources it normally means they're trying to rebuild the bridge. Lots of people ask about that one specifically.

This we know, but posting here the issues you see may lead to the developers making changes - that is rather the point.

I am, 100% NOT complaining about the game for EA issues, I am pointing out where maybe there's some things to improve on. I ADORE the game already.

Yeah, I've been noticing a trend of new commissions showing up only after the tech gets unlocked. Not a fan of this mechanic. The main reason is that it hides your tech goals, rather than teasing them. If high tech commissions have the patience to wait on tech, then they can show up anyway, except with a UI warning that you don't have the tech for them.

Are world resources actually hidden if the civil recycler is locked? That's really bad. There is no player restriction on harvesting resources and storing them, so why would the resources not be there? The resources need to show up, so the player has their cue to get the tech.
