No Fireside Meetings
I am in my second week - after the first Fireside Meeting there has NOT been another one. I hung out near town square from 17:00-20:00 and nothing. I've also walked in/out of buildings to reload exterior and nothing. When are these supposed to happen?

NOTE: Portia was better because the town hall was RIGHT THERE, visible from the home and you ALWAYS saw them gather for it. In Sandrock I have to open minimap or walk up to middle of town to see them, and since only one Fireside happened so far.

If there is a town hall meeting you will receive a letter just like My time at Portia. The area will be orange color by town hall. You just have to keep playing the town hall meetings happen you meet certain story elements.

Yeah, Firesides are triggered by the story, so keep questing and they will send you a notice in the mail when you need to attend one. Otherwise, you can run by City Hall on Sunday evening and read some funny dialog bubbles like "whoever is eating Burgess' lunch, please stop" and stuff like that.

Oh. I guess I could be wrong but I thought in Portia there was one EVERY night (even though nothing happened and it was just a gathering place for NPCs to hang out), just like their morning meetings.

I wish this were a little more clarified in game that Fireside Meetings only happen "when there is a reason".

Portia worked the same way Sandrock does. There were "special" Firesides for major story points, and Gale stood out on the steps of the Commerce Guild every Sunday to deliver a generic speech the player didn't get to participate in (but which put a lot of NPCs where you could easily find them for chat or gifting or turning in a quest.)

Same's true in Sandrock. There's a small crowd around city hall every Sunday but the story-critical firesides are held on an as-needed-for-the-story basis.

I saw them gather for a fireside the second week, but nothing actually happened while there. When there wasn't an 'event' going on in Portia, at least Gale would pretend to say stuff and speech bubbles would appear, but the minister just kinda stands there along with the crowd and nothing happens.

Right below this post is another one you posted two hours prior where you talk about characters you don't meet until near the end of the game. The post itself is a wall of text about how you dislike the plot lines for the bachelorettes.

So are you two weeks into this game or not? Mighty strange to make up circumstances just so you have a reason to complain.

Sandrock's firesides seem bugged. Half the time, they don't even gather for the generic version.

Edit: I realize I should have been more clear. I am not saying the important cutscenes are bugged but the Sunday firesides that aren't proceeded by a letter rarely actually happen. Like, the NPCs have only gathered a couple of times and usually aren't in the square on Sunday nights even though the game claims every Sunday is a fireside.

phadin said it far better than I did.
