Better Bachelorettes for Evershine please
Please do not take this wrong:

If the bachelors of Sandrock were as awful as the Bachelorettes the game wouldn't have nearly the same popularity. The worst is "that girl" who reeks of being the MLM girl on Facebook always starting a new scheme, who's so ethical she abandoned her husband and baby to pursue more schemes. If there were a male character who abandoned their family to pursue the exact same types of schemes, the bachelor would be immediately red flagged as "the deadbeat daddy" and there would be no mercy.

Another, Amirah, comes with a creep weirdo brother - imagine if a bachelor came with such a sister and you already have a weird situation that makes you ask the wrong questions or at least wonder if there's something not quite right in someone's head. The entire thing could've been GOOD if the brother and sister began to grow apart and become independent.

Elsie may be of legal age, but her appearance (body shape, proportions, etc) and her dialogues (saying words like "mommy" and "daddy" for example) along with her behaviors (stealing Mi-ans license) demonstrate an adolescent immaturity that is not fit for a good partner. She also never matures and grows up, not really. If this were a bachelor, women would revolt against him.

Venti - the big crimes here are that Venti is the most boring, low effort character in the game and it feels like someone spent 2 hours using GPT to write her. I feel like she would be a shining star if developed properly - if this were a bachelor, it would be a standard "worker bee" with no qualities or traits, "just a guy over there".

Mi-an feels like an author avatar, Mary Sue, and also feels like the actual main character whom we are just the NPC that shows up to help her, the avatar. I also find her the least unlikable of the lot, everyone's flaws considered. I wish she weren't always in the driver seat as the true protagonist. I also wish she faced a few more personal development arcs.

Please do a much better job on the bachelorettes of Evershine. Most of the males seem like they have 10x the effort, plot development, and the toxic/bad ones are presented as "cool bad guy" vibe. Nobody would've liked Logan if he were an MLM scammer who abandoned his family to pursue money making schemes far away. Or if he had an insufferable sibling that comes shackled at the heels. Or if he had Venti's level of character development. Or if he were crammed in your face as the real protagonist and you're just an accessorial NPC to the story of Logan and The Town.

I want the bachelorettes to be more compelling. A few in Sandrock are done right - Heidi is good but she's also 100% "not for me" and Grace is good.

I wish Pembre, Raven, Penny, and Luna were romancable. They are the best ones!

For the males, I am shocked Rian is not romancable.

Lastly - don't be afraid of having those like Matilda and Jensen be romancable, Zeke and Vivi. Older folks live too...

Well, you could try Heidi, Grace or Nia, you don't seem to have problems with them, although Grace and Nia are really late game and Heidi could use more romance quests. Also, I forgot about Jane, adding her.

For a fun read, you should do an individual search on this forum for Catori, Arvio, Venti and Elsie. There are LOTS of heated discussions about them.

BTW - Ri-an is married to Dan-bi.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. Mi-an and Nia have big "sweetheart energy" and make me wish there was polyamory in the game so I could romance both of them and watch them build a relationship with each other as well.

As for the romanceables in Evershine, they should have no shortage of them because they hit both "add another core romanceable" Kickstarter goals, meaning we're getting one of each gender.

As for Catori, well, you're preaching to the choir. Although I will never not laugh at a male builder's animation when going in for a hug from her. He sneaks a look directly at her chest before committing to the embrace and it makes me laugh every single time.

I think we can be reasonably optimistic that Panthe will take players feedback into consideration when writing the new chars.

- Catori is pretty much universally disklike so the chance we'll see someone like her again is pretty nil. In fact, if we see someone like her again, I can only assume it's because the devs wants to give the players the middle finger. Thanksfully Panthea doesn't seem to be that kind of developers.

- Elsie: while not as "universally" dislike as Catori, but she definitely vibe on the wrong side of the fence most of time. Unlike Catori, I think Elsie's character could have work a bit better if the writer had a better handle of her because if I have to sum up Elsie problem in one sentence: she's clearly the writer favorite. And you know ... books, movie, plays, games ... I have never seen that turn out well for the character.

Counter...please add relationship options that aren't yawn-worthy and unbelievably cliche like the 'Bad guy that's really a good guy (omg spoilers cause that wasn't painfully obvious as early as the intro cinematic)' or 'Quiet guy, but he'll only talk to ME'.

I find it interesting the claim that Catori is somehow 'universally' the 'worst girl' because of your deemed moral inadequacies...but there seem to be plenty of people fawning over Pen and Miguel (a mass murderer and a national traitor respectively). My guess, it's really just unresolved mommy issues...

Amirah is also an interesting point...a) someone that left their family (most of them) behind to chase opportunity in a new place while chasing her dreams (you are right...Catori definitely uniquely no good) and b) includes a clingy intrusive sibling when you are trying to hookup that makes her impossible to like (cause everyone definitely hated Ginger).

Personally, I dislike that any content at all is locked behind forced 'romantic' relationships and everything should be purely 'friendship points' driven instead...that is just part of the package I suppose and one of the benefits of backup saves to undo that nonsense. That said, to check the mandatory marriage achievement box, I did actually go Catori as the least objectionable option (Grace being the only other character of consideration).

Of course...I also divorced her while she was 'pregnant', a few days before she could /load 'builder jr'. So she definitely isn't the worst romance candidate in my game, that honor's all mine! Or maybe Pen...dude literally kills people for fun.

Your "mommy issues" statement makes me wonder what issues you're hiding if that's where you go. Maybe you're the one with some issues.

Pen is the lowest hanging fruit. He's the worst character in any My Time game. And I hope they never make another one as awful as him. Even in the first encounters he is pure "rage boner creep" hocking down my cis-het male character who just wants nothing to do with this weirdo creep, long before it's revealed he's a traitor and takes pleasure from causing harm - that's just the icing on top. He is a great example of the vibe that all characters in a My Time game should never project.

Catori is the one who abandoned her opportunity to chase fantasies of winning the lottery (essentially). She is the worst bachelorette. Leaving Catori pregnant - justice.

Amirah is the one who's annoying brother lives at her ankles. She would be fine if she either didn't have a brother or if her weird relationship with him evolved into both of them becoming more independent adults.

To check the box I will probably pick the main character Mi-an so that I feel involved in the story as more than an NPC who shows up now and then. I wish Pembre or some of the others were options.

I wish it weren't too big a task to have all adult NPCs available. I know it can't be because that would be an insane workload for the payoff.

I agree with you that we should be able to get all content regardless of Romance status. I feel like the Romance part of the game should not be a content gate.

I want Evershine's options to feel good, the opposite of what they are here. Portia at least had a few good choices along with several mid ones. In Sandrock I would pick Venti if she were more than just a "worker NPC" who can be romanced. She is proof to me that ANY adult character should be romancable - with that amount of effort, it wouldn't take too much at all.
I want to see the Builder girl as a romance option.

Personally I wish there was less romance and more focus on the building and questing side, but unfortunately, people seem to be too interested in romancing cartoon characters and seem to have taken the game in a completely different direction.

If you haven't yet, consider responding to the My Time at Evershine First Impressions Survey[docs.google.com].

I'm not sure the Bachelors are that much better. Lots of terrible choices.

Pen-ugh. I never want to hear "I love you skinny arms."

Justice- Very useless. Makes you do his job.

Unsuur-creepy stalker

Burgess-No one wants a spouse who monitors their water usage.

Miguel-no. just no.

Arvio-Your complaint about Amirah made 12x worse. Will also make you do his job

The main advantage Bachelor side is that there's more of them than the Bachlorette side. So at least you got Logan and Owen. Even of both look off next to your child sized character.

Anyway, we already know most of the romancables for Evershine. Though we don't know their personalites yet really. They are a good looking bunch at the very least. Panah has already caught my eye. Must be the superhero mask. Hopefully she won't be too Pen-like.

Ahem, we shorties prefer 'fun size', thank you.

I'm a cis hetero woman - I will absolutely do at least one run where I marry Panah because...dayum. I really hope they don't mess up her personality.

Sadly, I find all the non-core romance character bios to be underwhelming at best. I hope they are better in game.

Personally I hardly like the girls options in most of the games. Not because I'm a woman, but because the vast majority is really stereotypical and one-dimensional. The bussiness-woman, the tomboy, the "tsundere", etc... prety much copy-paste from another equally empty character. There is some commendable exceptions, though. I'm curious about evershine, but I must confess that I'm not really hopeful.

Y'all are wild, I <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 Grace, she is the best. I agree that Nia should be put in a bag and drowned, though, ugh. (somebody said that, right? because they should.)

And at least, you know, there's no HALEY (iykyk).

(I know everybody has different tastes and I am not in any way shape or form serious EXCEPT ABOUT LOVING GRACE)
