Showroom Question
So I'm not a designer and found out this Showroom Manual item will let me pick a pre-built house to plunk down. Mine is so tiny inside and has no room. Unfortunately, it plunked the new one right on top of my old one. I was able to undo renovations and get my money back.

How do I do this? Delete my current house first and then plunk down the new one? And what happens to all the stuff inside? I'll need that stuff for the new house.

your house is expandable from either the book in the realty office or with the purchasable item from her register, both open the same interface. the owned item just saves you having to be in the office to make changes. if you click the house you have, while in build mode, you will see some buttons one will let you move the whole building one will resize. as long as youve coin to do it of course... just grab an arrow after selecting resize and pull. at its max its a good size room. anything you destroy or remove, like roof, etc. you are reimbursed the coin. so you can play around a bit and no losses. also the prebuilt i bought? is small rooms that are hard to decorate and cannot be resized so im going back to stacking my own boxes. it came out better my first run through without the prebuilt.

Interesting. So I can select my house and somehow tell it to just expand in size? Or are you talking about adding rooms.

the house you have can be resized to a much larger building and add things as well as upper stories. you need to check the skill tree segment to add floors above 2 iirc. but yes you can add rooms to make a much bigger home. which is all the ones who did the builds you can buy did.
by DIY you can decorate your way instead of having in my case too small rooms that have too many windows to easily decorate around. its a very easy building and decorating system. i like the fact that time stops while in build mode. your day isnt getting away from you while youre busy.
