f you're married, your spouse will have a mission for their own birthday (possibly also yours, don't remember). They might tell you they will take care of everything, but of course they don't. Make sure to have lots of food ready, townies eat a lot.
Living everyday like it's your birthday. That's pretty nice.
I've got ~150 hours in the game and I have yet to host a party. The only reason I even know they exist is because of the party knowledge option. It's good to know that I need the banquet table from the game shop if I ever want to try that.
