would like feedback on different male spouses....may have spoilers
First i have married logan 5 times kept two of the saves cause i liked my char better...this is my first and most favorite char. Hes fun goes in instances holds my hand and kicks butt. lol
and not to forget my favorite kid Andy.
Second i married fang...OMG went through the whole thing to the end . I want to express how beautiful of a char he his. however i couldnt take the competition of his mother and bird..dont get me wrong i love X...he's cool. I couldnt get pass the do you want drugs all the time...and (the special med he wants to make for me)....it scared the poop out of me when i came home late thinking he would be in bed already..and he was standing behind the door and said"its late you should be in bed" OMG i jumped lol...At this point i decided he was to much like my x husband...except for the drugs. soooo i deleted the save.
Now my question is this......Does any other male char go with you to instances and is interesting after marriage? i made a save up to a point that i can woo someone but i want to see which one would be interesting.
I thought qi would be..unsurr to me looks to much like woody from toy story so no. what about justice anyone marry him? Please help or poop im going to stay single like i thought of already lol...

Aaand, now I have to wipe the water off my screen that I just spit out of my mouth when I laughed reading this while taking a drink.

I've heard Justice has next to zero romance content, which is a shame because he is such an awesome character.

Honestly, I'd stick with Logan. I married Grace on my last run and regretted not marrying Logan the entire time.

ETA: Will Ernest fight? He has a lot of romance content and he does make a (feeble) attempt at fighting when you lead him through the cave after you know what incident.

I've married Owen, Grace, Unsuur, Justice, Fang and Qi.

Except for Fang, NONE of them were worth spit after the wedding. Supposedly the devs are planning to add more post marriage material, but so far, nada.

Owen and Grace were the most satisfying to woo (at least for me), Qi the least satisfying all around. Unsuur will love you no matter what, so that's cool. Justice is just blah.

I do intend to try Logan on my next play through, whenever that is.

Sadly, it just took too darn long for Grace to come back in my opinion. She was fine as a spouse, but I literally did not get her post marriage quest until AFTER my credit roll. And I married just a few days after she got back to town. By the time she got back to town I had finished pretty much everything except Pablo and the final big quest. No need to take her through the ruins by that point as I was wrecking everything solo and Lab 7 lags so much I don't bother with it.

Also, why do they all have an annoying fixation? Logan is obsessed with eating enough, Fang is obsessed with sleeping enough, and Grace constantly complained about the house needing to be spotless.

thank you so much for feed back...lol. I really love logan and andy ...just wish like different conversations. also i found that our spouse quests are the same with all i played. the fishing for two....the bbq thats right by our house...and walking to the edge of clift. and yep its a cliff. the walking back..i got smart and called my horse lol.
i would like to use logans tower thing we fixed to be like a date thing just for him not other characters...or go to the place we was on bumpy date...something...also it would be nice to get a vase of roses for a aniversary gift. we get stiffed...i get him a nice shield and i get what wait nothing? no woopie tonight...its the couch for you.
well at least he doesnt tell us we are not dressed for our party...and fang i got ticked off, thought to myself what wait and you are dressed better?

OMG, lol, that was the beginning of end of Fang for me. I was so mad (check my old posts, I ranted about this) when he was complaining about my clothing for the party I didn't want but threw because he demanded it (quest). We'd only been married a couple of days when that triggered for me and, man, that got under my skin. Add that to the mommy issues he still had and I was quickly over him and only kept playing that marriage to get through Him and the post credits quests since those are also Fang heavy. Luckily I had split saved so I could also marry Logan and, boy, did that marriage 180 everything for me - that was a completely different, far better, second half of game experience. Found my in game soul mate and this Grace experience just confirmed it. From now on it's single or Logan. I do still BFF Fang, I love the character but between his trauma, his mommy issues, and his criticism of my attire I had to permanently friend-zone him, it's better for both of us.

I agree, post marriage content could use a major boost. The generic quests when each spouse could have unique stuff is just so blah. I want an actual way to go for that ride Logan is always asking about, going herb picking with Fang, taking a ride on Daisy with Elsie, throwing pots with Amirah, annoying people with Arvio, putting on plays with Owen, reading poetry to each other with Jane, helping Heidi brainstorm town expansions, sexy shooting lessons with Justice, rock hounding with Unsuur, etc, etc. So much potential with such good characters, kinda wasted. Sadly, none of that will likely be forthcoming as it would require new voice work which costs $. But, I would absolutely purchase a good, beefy romance DLC expansion pack to fund it.

YeeeHaw me too. i would pay for an addon for sure! And single/or logan for sure!

Here's my take:

Logan: Basic b&tch choice. He is the literal shoe in the devs want the player to take. His cutscenes are very well done and kinda hot. Not the most romantic of the guys, but a good basic choice. 10/10 because he comes with Andy. If you dislike and it becomes 7/10.

Fang: Hard mode for romance lovers. He is the top 1 of bachelors and everyones knows it. Even the devs, because they literally gift-gate the affection points of this guy. He is worth it, thou. 10/10

Owen: If Logan is the bad-boy, heart-of-gold troupe, Owen is the big-guy-loved-by-everyone troupe. The guy is good cook, good storyteller and basically eveything anyone would want for a partner to raise your children with. 9/10. The bad side is that, like almost every bachelor/bacheloret in this game besides Logan, there is not real post-marriage content. He will also NEVER ask you into a relationship. You are the one that have to make the first move. Very nice detail from the devs, in my opinion.

Qi: The apathic sci-fy lunatic that has zero romance in his bone. 0/10 not worth. Seriously. It may be my biase talking, but even as a nerd that loves robots and anime, this guy is bad and not relatable.

Arvio: A walking red-flag that takes your money and post pictures of him as a marketing and things its fantastic. Then has the gal to ask for more money. His cutscenes are decent has more romance than anything Qi can ever offer, but I'd rather marry this much more likable sister. -1/10

Justice: Nice guy. Kinda dumb, but nice guy. He has a nice plot, but nothing earthquaking. Nothing really romance worthy either. Still a good guy that cares for the people and some good cutscenes. 5/10

Ernest: Very nice development and story-plot. Romance is as okay as Owen and Justice and you can see clearly that, like Owen and Justice, the devs did not give this character much attention after marriage. 7/10

Unsuur: The odd guy that makes me laugh like there is no tomorow. He is as quirky and weird as you expect and I love him for it. Not really romance-driven, thou, so 8/10.

I could do all the bachellorets, but it'sl already too long as it is for me.

Lol, ok this is fun!

ETA: Let me preface by saying, when I started my first full run I was set on Fang. I saw zero appeal in Logan. I had played some very early EA play but stopped well before any of the Logan content dropped - heck, I stopped before you could befriend Fang at all. I found all the simping around Logan ridiculous and when I did my Fang marriage play through I was not fascinated by Logan in the least, I was planning to marry him solely to see his content and I actually expected him to be a huge letdown even with my low expectations. With that said....

Slap my *ss and call me a basic b*tch then, because Logan is right up my alley. I totally love that happy puppy thing he has going on for the builder. The stutter and 'i'm happy just to be with you' thing is so damn charming, I am HERE FOR IT. Logan strikes me as a guy who'd be happy to just sit and cuddle with you during your down time and that ride on Rambo is my kinda date. I find that kind of stuff incredibly romantic and although his proposal was a little cheesy, the fact that he let the kids help with it made up for it. Good dad energy is hot.

Fang: was so not worth it in my opinion, for reasons I explained above. I very much see him as 100% the kind of friend you have over for weekly dinner.

Owen and Ernest are a no go for me for exactly the same reason, you may as well slap some buttery sourdough on them and grill them up because of all that cheese. Ernest seems like he'd be a neglectful spouse that makes up for it with GRAND GESTURES. Owen completely lost me with the surprise public proposal - nope, no way, gtf away from me with that stuff.

I think Justice and Unsuur would be great spouses for the same reason as Logan. Loyalty and devotion just drip off them. Although, I don't know that I could live forever with Unsuur's rock obsession. He'd need to show some other interests to move past flirting.

Qi would be a best bud. I would love hanging out on the roof of the research center talking anime with him. I would find him incredibly obnoxious to live with, 100%.

I 100% agree with your take on Arvio. Also, his romance cut scenes are still creepy to me.

Miguel is creepy AF in my opinion. That constant sermonizing would get on my nerves. Also, I prefer to see the good in people as a general rule, so his dourness is just yuk. Life is full of grey area, I just can't do the black or white outlook.

Burgess would be a fun friend, but a little bit of him goes a loooong way, no way I could be married to him.

Pablo is too catty, b*tchy and seems like a drama llama. Hard pass, but I'd totally join his tea society.

Pen set off my predator radar the moment he dropped down in front of my builder on my first play through. I would never let myself be caught alone in a room with him, much less date or marry him.

Nothing wrong in being a basic b. He is still a 10/10 with Andy.

I TOTALLY FORGOT YOU CAN MARRY BURGESS AND MIGUEL. Poor guy is so helpless I just want to pinch his cheeks, but never pinged in the romance radar. Nor have Miguel, but because he has a very bad personality and I hate him. 6/10 for cuteness on Burgess and -10/10 for Miguel

Also Pablo. i'd say he is not the basic B choice, just the B choice XD. I believe you'd need to be as sassy as him to keep up or he would get bored with you. 6/10 for me. At most. I'm not that sassy.

You unfortunaly can't marry Pen, but I've seen many people asking for him to come back and the hilarious 'I can fix him' joke. I'm more sadden that we get a shirtless Logan when he is wounded but never a shirtless Pen when he is admiring himself in the mirror and literally talking about his abs. Again showing the bias of the devs. No rating for Pen for lack of actual marriage.

Oh, hey look, a ball! I'll pick it up and run with it and reveal an embarrassing amount about myself by accident in the process:

Venti: On the downside, she's generic, like a beta test Early Access version of a robot wife that hasn't had the kinks worked out (then again, what good is a romantic partner without kinks?)

On the upside, she is INSANELY OP as a workshop helper, the only human/possible android spouse who is more powerful in this regard than the Magic Mirror. She's a Disc One Nuke for making your workshop more efficient.

0/10 as a character, 3,000,000/10 as a purely game-mechanics choice.

Heidi: Great relationship dialogue. She really leans into the compatible-occupation "power couple" dynamic even if she's a bit lacking in the romance-sidequest department. 7/10.

Catori: Arvio except drawn like a Studio Gainax anime character. Comically oversize boobs do not make up for her infuriating tendency to take ruthless advantage of the Builder to advance her pie-in-the-sky business ideas. And to get that sweetheart real estate deal on the Valley of Whispers to build the theme park? Does she have compromising pictures of Trudy, umm...open for trade...with the Mysterious Man or something? Any sane mayor would tell Catori to kick rocks or pay up for the prime real estate rights. I hate to say it, but the only person in the game who judged Catori's character correctly was Yan.

But she gets points for the hilarious animation the male Builder has when giving her a hug. You can see him glance straight at her...tracts of land...right before he goes in for the embrace. This is twice as funny when she's dressed in her swimwear top.

In the words of the Magic Mirror...TWO OUT OF TEN.

Nia: So sweet she'll give you diabetes. Has clearly loved the Builder since they were both kids, and even though she's a bit of a creator's pet, she is SUCH A SWEETHEART and makes a dutiful, loving, devoted wife and mother. The Builder goes halfway across the Free Cities to seek his fortune but the girl next door was the girl of his dreams the whole time. 10/10.

Mi-an: It's kind of a shame that the game doesn't support polyamory because Mi-an and Nia together would be an ideal two-headed girlfriend. Watching her emerge from her workaholic shell and learn how to love and be loved when it falls into her lap when she was never expecting it...ow, my pancreas.

Also she is absolutely _adorable_ if you dress her in the blue swimwear top and elegant-wear blue skirt from the DLC. 10/10

Elsie: "I'm not a kid, I'm a legal adult!" she says during one of her personal quests.

Legal where, ancient Rome, where girls got married as young as twelve? Because in California she's jailbait. Even when she "grows up", she still acts like she's either literally 13 or perhaps worse, an adult woman with the maturity of a 13-year-old.

Sweet girl, but come back when you grow up, kid. 4/10.

Amirah: She'd make an ideal wife for Wilson the rock. I think Wilson might actually be more interesting. Plus you'd get Arvio as your brother-in-law. Ew. 3/10.

Jane: Could win a wet T-shirt contest at Spring Break against Catori. So she's got that going for her.

But on the other hand, she's an actress, so you know she's nuts, and if you show even the slightest romantic interest in her, she practically throws herself at you like that crazy girl you dated in college who moved in on the second date and started talking about how she couldn't wait to start a family together.

I go on a date with someone like that, I suddenly remember I left the dog on and need to walk the oven. Desperation isn't attractive. But Jane gets the same two points Catori got because she's got two great...umm...points. TWO OUT OF TEN.

Grace: Savvy, smart, tough as nails, looks great in the swimwear top, stepped between Logan and the Builder locked in mortal combat and separated them like a mom separating two fighting toddlers, just tossed both guys aside like rag dolls. Could probably kill you with nothing more than a hard look if she set her mind to it.

I don't know if I'm in love or mortally terrified, but she's definitely the equal and opposite reaction to the safe, comfortable love of Nia or Mi-an, and that's a lane she confidently occupies. 9.9/10.

I can't help thinking I forgot someone, but if that's the case, it doesn't reflect well on her.

Was that my 'i can fix him' joke from the other thread? We probably don't get a shirtless Pen because then we'd get to see all the scarring from his medical experimentation the soldiers were talking about, lol. Plus, I have a feeling that, unlike Logan's sleek muscles, Pen looks more like those lumpy body builders...like Arnold back in his competitive days, I personally find that look grotesque, although I know plenty of people find it attractive. Especially because Owen leans more towards lumpy mattress himself, no way Pen doesn't make it all the way there.

Bwahahaha hahahaha. Agree, agree, agree. Except for that one bit on Grace, she used a relic to end that fight, if you screen shot that she has a big wind circle around her that pushes them apart and she is clearly nowhere near them. There's a pic of it in the community gallery somewhere. So it's a relic, or she's spent some quality time with Master Shifu.

BTW, Jane's scene in the Blue Moon when Owen cuts her off the yakmel milk gives me real Toy Story "You see the hat, I'm Mrs. Nesbitt" vibes.

I'm in love with this whole thing. Every darng word. Specially the Venti, Elsie and Grace parts.

Venti has literally the same sprite as an turist NPC. and the devs made damg sure you STILL want her by giving her almost all the helpers options as a wife. Those devs are so smart.

Elsie is -1000/10 for me. Not only the age but her personality and lack of care for people around her. throw her in the trash and DONT come back. Stay there with Arvio and Miguel.

Grace is OP. She is the ultimate girl for me. The top of the tops and I'm not even including the fact that she can bring down people Pen's size. Girl have the kindness of wanting to help, the atitude to stay true to her convictions and the skill to back it all up. And I love spicy food.
