Stuck inside Day of Memories decoration

Was running on main street from town towards home, when the Day of Memories reminder chimed, then I was suddenly inside the tent/decoration that is up against the builders building. There is no way out.

save your game, exit and load game, you will be out. I had the same thing happen to me.

Update: right after I posted this, the in-game clock hit 22:00, one of the characters ran through, and suddenly there was an opening that definitely wasn't there before. 😂

Yeah, same thing just happened to me, I tried saving, but I didn't actually quit out from there, I just loaded back into that save while I was still standing in the tent, then when I loaded back, the tent was gone. But only temporarily, you have to be quick to move out of the area where the tent is, the instant you load in, or the tent will re-spawn, and trap you again. Furniture and other items like this, in general, take a few seconds to reappear when loading into the game, so you always have a small window to get out of the way of any of this kind of stuff, if you get stuck in it and reload.

Were you weirdly trapped or were you placed in there as a ghost hunter until it was time to hunt? It's a staging area for the hunt so you can't 'see' where they people are hiding. They release you when it's time to hunt.

It said that other activities were going on that I was supposed to be attending. If that's intentional, what a shoddy way to set up the activity. I will just skip the whole day next time. 🤷🏼‍♀️
