Your workshop level is on your character screen, just click "c" if you are on PC. Your workshop ranking is listed on the board in the Commerce Guild. You level both by completing quests.

How do you increase workshop level?
By completing quests and commissions.

Is that how you increase workshop level or workshop rank? Because I have heard that you increase workshop level by interacting with the sign that increases the size of your property. I have heard with you increase workshop rank by doing quest and commissions. I think that you were getting workshop rank and workshop level mixed up, but I'm not positive

House Gnome is not responding so apparently he doesn't know. This should be a simple question for people who have been playing the game for a long time so I wish that someone could give an answer
I have responded, I'm on my fourth full run. Play the game, that's how you level. If you are going to be a jerk to people trying to help then I suggest you go through the tutorials.
Workshop level is increased by completing quests and commissions as House Gnome already stated. It increases both workshop rank and level. When you complete a commission for example, you'll notice that the XP for workshop level in the character screen increases. You do not need to increase the size of your workshop to increase workshop level or rank.

Workshop reputation that you get from quests and from commissions is what increases both your workshop rank and level.

I see a badge or a medallion on my character info screen but it doesn't say what level my workshop is? Is there somewhere that tells you what your actual workshop level is or do you just have to know what the badge means?
It's a star level. How many stars are on your badge, that's your level, the more stars the higher the level. There is a book sitting on Yan's desk in the Commerce Guild that details a lot of this. I know it is there in single player, can't remember if it's there in multiplayer.
Yeah what House Gnome said. The badge is your star level starting with 1 star and ending with 5 stars which is a max level workshop.

That is extremely stupid that you have to be maximum workshop level just to get married! You can meet all of the other requirements for marriage a lot sooner than the maximum workshop level. Getting married should be about your relationship with the character, not about how good you are at your job

Ah, if what you're looking at says you need "Level 5" to get married, that's actually the Yard Expansion level, not workshop level. Yard Expansion maximum level is 10, so you only need half of them. That is what's available on the "Expand" sign near your workshop fence.

Thank you for the information. Wiki and other websites say that you have to have your workshop to level 5, but they must have meant that they you have to have your yard space upgraded to level 5
You could have just read the other topic on the same subject. I think my answer covers your question pretty well.
Do you have to increase the size of your house in order to get married?
Αναρτήθηκε αρχικά από Sketch Elder:
You don't have to increase the size of your house to get married, but you do need to increase your Home Levell to at least level 5.

Your Home Level is based on the land you've bought. You can see it by trying to purchase more land or by checking the Home Assessment Board. It starts at level 1 and increases by one every time you buy more land, until you reach level 10.

Your Workshop Level is shown on your Character page and goes from 1 to 5 stars. You increase it by earning reputation from commissions, other missions, museum donations, and possibly a few other actions. It's not the same thing as your Home Level.

They are 2 separate discussions with different questions. They are similar questions, but not the same questions
