mysterious figure - a glimmer of memories

I am just about at the end of the game and I still haven't seen any answers to what I thought would be a story we would find out more about. What was the meaning and point of the mysterious figure (woman) that appears and then disappears about the time you unlock the first digging ruins?
It is never brought up again that I can remember and there is a memory for it in the photo album that I reference (A glimmer of memories).
Anyone have answers?

I'm sure she was just a ghost from the old world, telling the builder to not repeat the same mistakes so to speak.

If true, that is kind of lame. I was hoping we would learn more and she would show up before different ruins to share some kind of sub-story.

I believe she's actually tied to the Day of Memories; as-is, she's mostly a fun tie-in (maybe the traditions have some sort of basis in fact...), but I agree, she could be an interesting look into the pre-Calamity world that has more 'interaction' than books and notes.

I've never seen any "mysterious figure" associated with the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins.

Neither have I, but the wiki does have a picture, so I guess she does make an appearance when the conditions are right.

This part makes me feel so sad. The NPC faces hold such sadness and the voice actor did great in emotion. I think this was a beautiful touch.

Her event only happens on The Day of Memories; there will be a Blue quest on a building on the cliffside S of Eufala.

Before this happens if you talk to Jasmine, she mentioned about a ghost.

Appreciate that but do you have a timestamp for when the ghost appears? I don't have time to watch an entire hour and a half video.

The link isn't taking me to YouTube. It starts showing the video from the beginning within the post here on Steam. But I was able to finangle my way to it on YT and go to the relevant bit with your time information. Thank you.
