But note the items are not essential to the game, they are simply bonus items mostly of a cosmetic nature. The game you get from buying it is complete.
I personally just found out about this game and since I am a collector at heart I prefer to have a chance to "catch them all". Knowing that certain content ,even cosmetic is permanently locked means I will stay away from this one.
Thank you for the reply!
So if it wasn't for that kickstarter campaign the game wouldn't have been made. And giving those items away to non-backers would be a breach of contract.
A few kickstarter backers paid 200 dollars for the game, they got a special outfit for that expense, those that paid 80 dollars got a special pet. That is as advetised and getting what you paid for is completely fair.
The "fishlander" weapon is a club that looks like a fish. The cactus spear looks like a spear with a bit of cactus tied to it. They're just gimmicks and completely irrelevant.
I noticed you don’t care much for skins or in game cosmetics, but I do care quite a bit. So the fact remains you can’t unlock/buy everything in game which is not for me.
Totally get where you're coming from. I had similar experience with Dragon age Origins back in the day. So many bonus items that were good for builds but were locked behind buy orders from different sellers.
But at least they decided to give them all away as a download many years later. I seriously think locking some one out of content permanently is not a good thing. Sure the people that got to enjoy the kickstarter bonuses had their fill.. played the game and moved on.... what then? Future players see these things and then find out... you can never have them.
You need the base YTAS framework, but after that you can literally just spawn in the kickstarter outfits and pet into your save.
They downgraded the graphics on PC as well so they could release on Switch. If anything buy it off G. 2. A. or another key website so they get nothing/less than a Steam purchase. Your money would be better served going to some rat in their basement selling game keys than this shady company if I am being real with you.
A lot of "us" kickstarter backers asked them "Why?" when it came to the kickstarter in the first place. Unsure where you were during this?
Wouldn't that make every game with a kickstarter 'not for you'? Or games with platform exclusive content? Or store exclusive content?
That's not going to leave very many games 'for you'.
They've admitted to it in their dev blog. They merged the render pipelines to "make the game consistent on all platforms". So now all character models looks like potato plastic dolls on PC without any shading, when they used to look great. They have no plans of reversing this, only the lie about lighting have a bug, which isn't even the main problem anyways.
It's basically false advertising and a scam now.
