I wonder if Sandrock being a more reasonable base speed is why they don't go to .5? I know slowing time can really screw with holiday events (as in they take forever). Especially Day of the Bright Sun when presents drop.
That being said, I WOULD still immediately switch to 0.5 if it was present. I don't like feeling rushed and the world is big enough in Sandrock that I feel like I always have to be sprinting.
I find when there is a lull in main quests there is plenty of time to ruin dive. Even on full speed, it's easy to just go in for a level after morning commissions are done.
Everyone is different though. If I were to play with controller though, I would need to slow it down. For some reason I cannot use a controller with these games. (And I usually use one all the time due to chronic pain. Thank goodness they added a toggle sprint option.)
I haven't tried multiplayer, but it might not be available. To register for the event in single player requires completing a Side Mission to give a gift to be dropped to the mayor or Matilda prior to the Day of Bright Sun. If missions do not exist in multiplayer, the event may not be allowed to occur. Even if they do exist, if you didn't complete this side mission, then you can't participate in the event.
