Nia's face
Hi, so I'm just wondering about Nia's face, mostly her eyes.

During the Sequence, when she first arrived, she looks kinda normal, but her actual game character looks different, she has kinda looking asquint?

I find it actually annoying and creeps me out a bit, but I don't understand why the play-model looks different than the sequence-model. Or is ist just my imagination?

I think the issue might be more related to the 2D picture you get in the letter before she shows up. The 2D drawings of the characters are just flat-out better than the 3D models for characters. All of the 3D characters are just a little bit off. I don't enough about art to provide any useful critiques, it's just something about all of them goes into...Uncanny Valley isn't the right term, but something similar to that.

All I know is I had the exact same experience. She was the only character who I saw a 2D portrait of before seeing the 3D model. It really threw me off. If I had to make a guess, I think it's that the 3D eyes are just too wide-open. No subtle resting eyelid, just shocked open. A lot of characters have that problem, but you don't see the 2D social page portrait until after seeing their in-game model. Nia is the only exception to that, so she stands out.

But i'm not even talking about the picture. There's this sequence, when she arrives, you know, those sequences with subtitles but without the dialogue box? There her eyes seem to look normal.
