Witoslaw,
you are entitled to feel how you feel. I just don't agree with you.
This is a difficult fight, especially the first time you experience it. There have been lots of great suggestions to help the OP.. such as the Pen Relic, which allows you to skirt around Maltilda because you still move pretty fast with it. If you can dodge roll away as she goes into her big animated attack and then charge in and hit her as soon as she finishes, it makes a big difference. I used the best Rifle I had access too and had all my equipment and clothes upgraded for both these fights. I nearly ran out of bullets the first time but I used the rifle and my daggers for the first fight ( I didn't try the Pen relic the first time because I didn't even think of that). The second Time I used my daggers, rifle and pen relic. The Pen relic hits really hard. It's a good choice for this fight if you get the timing right.
The whole paradox in My time at Sandrock has already absorbed you!
For real?
What does it mean that you are a player who likes leveling, and on top of that you claim that the absurd advantage of your character over your opponents is balanced?
Is this your first time playing? Because it looks like it!
It means that somebody has a different opinion than you and likes different things than you do.
Yes, and I think you need to go play a game that's actually what you want. This isn't it. Other people (including me) want this AS. IT. IS. This is exactly what it says on the tin, and absolutely does not need the resources expended to do a complete overhaul to change what type of game it is.
I don't like your proposed changes and I like the idea of the developers spending time and money to implement them even less. I would rather they spend their time and money fixing things that are actually broken and adding new content.
Fixing combat for that one guy who took a wrong turn at the soulslike intersection is not a wise use of resources.
Sunny, you know what?
You're making me not want to play My Time at Sandrock again (I even deleted my save game on purpose). This game makes me feel like a noob and I'm disappointed because I'm forced to play again!
Now, user, find me another relaxing game similar to My time Series
No.
Truer wisdom has rarely been spoken, my friend.
Not every player is That Guy. If we wanted super hard combat, we would be playing something else, not MTaS. Moreover, if that was the kind of game the devs wanted to make, they would have done so.
Also, even though it's a massive improvement over Portia's combat, the system here is still not good enough to actually support more difficult combat. The Matilda fight kind of drives that home. Every other boss fight I've found to be quite easy (which I prefer; I hate boss fights) but this one gave me trouble. You need far more maneuverability and situational awareness than the combat system can really provide you with. Making it even harder would be a huge mistake on Pathea's part.
Okay, I understand my mistake. If Pathea wants to introduce the option of difficulty levels, there must be players who are in favor of introducing the option, and there are none (except me).
As for the Boss, I also have to agree, because the players are not prepared for a difficult fight. If they want a normal fight with the so-called Final Boss, the developers need to: Reduce his damage, reduce the frequency of his attacks (I may be wrong), and give more HP if players want a longer fight.
I'm in agreement about the imbalance of leveling for combat, as it really takes me out of the immersion when I waste Pen or Matilda in two seconds with full auto modern rifle, but suddenly my guys are down and struggling in the cutscene after.
(see Viva La Dirt League's Unfair Cutscenes in Boss Fights)
The only real problem - but a big problem - I see with a difficulty selection is the stamina efficiency of collecting monster materials for higher difficulties - it will always be most efficient to select the easiest difficulty available, Stardew Valley doesn't have such a problem.
In the end though, this is My Time at Sandrock, not My Time at Lothric Castle.
