Easiest Loved Gifts:
Shiny Scorpions that you find while breaking down piles. And depending how far you are story/mp wise, Dragon's Blood.

Easiest Liked Gifts
Venom and Heliconia Nail you find from Tripions
Yakmel Horns from Yakmels
Gold, Opal, Sunstone, Rosestone, and Diamond

Don't forget to level X as well, he is on Fang's "tree" so raising friendship levels with X will give Fang a boost.

Fang is buddy and I have the new relationship DLC. However his bird takes gifts but not Fang. He return them all. The new DLC seems unnatural like him being sweet and holding hands while in ordinary dialog being spiteful at times and returning gifts.

I thnk you need to be higher relationship with him to be able to give him gifts? Not sure, I never managed it because I never invested much in getting to know Fang. I wasn't interested in him.

Complete Fang's medicine trials as well as a quest chain involving X. You won't be able to give Fang gifts until after a mission called Cheery Conspiracy with X and Arvio, which should trigger 1 in-game week after completing X's questline.

ETA: Your relationship with X needs to be Buddy.

Ok. Do you know how far out in he game X's quests start? There is nothing on any of them so far and I am at lvl 35

It doesn't matters your lvl, what does matters is your relation lvl with X, wich is very difficult, because you'll have to get him when he is not with Fang, what doesn't happens often. At sundays Fang is at the cementery, so you'll be able to talk to X that is nearby or at the museum side. When you get them both inside the clinic, X problably will be at his perch. In rare cases you can get X alone when he is flying to Fang (normally when Fang is eating at the saloon), but in this case you'll need to be very fast.

Anyway, the best presents to X are Shinny Scorpions and "shinny things" as he says: opal, gold, etc. If you don't have it, alfafa (bought at the saloon or Arvio's shops) and lavanda are liked gifts.

I have both as buddy now. Guess it also comes down to story.
Early, you have to do his experiements. Once you get his friendship high enough he has a few story things and you can then gift him things - the shiny scorpions are what he seems to like best for me.

If you are having trouble catching X and Fang apart, walk in the clinic when they are both there and stay just in the doorway until X lands on the perch. Once he lands he will stay there, but if you start approaching Fang before X lands he will change direction and perch on Fangs shoulder instead.

Thanks for the advice. I am now at the part where I have to fight Haru and Logan in the block world. As for now Logan is too strong to beat. Can I still continue storyline or do I have to fight Logan to carry on? I want to proceed so I can befriend Fang.

You have to defeat Logan to progress. Good news, once you've engaged Logan you just need to run the timer out, not actually beat him. You get a special little scene if you actually best him where you knock the mask literally off his face but staying alive until the time on the screen runs out is all that is required for the quest. Avoid him like the plague when he turns red, save your dodges and roll endurance for when you need to get out of the way fast.

Ok, thanks. I noticed the timer but died before finding out what it was all about.
