If you check the wiki (which is pretty garbage - and there's a whole story why) you will find many people like certain clothing items that you can either make or buy. Some clothing counts as loved gifts. Much like weapons for some people. (I know weapons were great gifts for Django in Portia (I forget who else atm.) Just don't give the same gifts repeatedly as, unlike Portia, you will have diminished returns on favor. Some will even comment about how you gave them something already. (Just alternate the easiest gifts is the answer to this.)
