Trusses and Graphite

So I am at the part where you have to build trusses for Heidi to fix the bridge. How do I get graphite before Eufaula desert and Gecko Station is available?

Trusses are made with bronze frames, Steel bars and copper screws. There should be a broken bus frame at the salvage yard where you can get Iron Scrap. (edit: this gives you bars)
I also found bars in The Breach, about 2 per run or so.

What TaylerBootz said. You need the Civil Recycler to recycle Iron Scrap, that'll give you the Steel Bars you need.

You also get Iron Scrap from the Hypersleep Chambers. There's one by the fishing pit, one outside Paradise Lost gate and at least one inside the PL area, right after the gate. Miiiight be one more further in there. You'll get Iron, Copper and Mechanical scrap from those.
