How do i turn pyrite into Iron Ore or can I?Thanks

Use a Civil Furnace.

Mine it and smelt it in a level 2 furnace. "Pyrite" just sounds fancier than "iron ore".

I turn Pyrite into Iron Ore by hitting it with a pickhammer. Doesn't that work for you?

Pyrite nodes ARE Iron. Not sure why, Pyrite is "fools gold" or Iron Pyrite. You literally just get iron ore out of it when you pickhammer it. You then smelt "iron ore" in your level 2+ furnace.
There's no trick to it at all.
I believe in Portia (their first My Time game) it was just called iron.
