QOL Suggestion - Daycare - Grandma Vivi

Taking into account that this is only a game.. I get that.. It still really bothers me when I am holding my baby and I step outside only to get yanked into a cut-scene that drags me across town. I end up getting a message like "Your Baby is going back home."

Really? They aren't even crawling yet? Are they taking a Yakmel Cart? Shouldn't I introduce them to the driver first, at the very least? Where are they getting the money for this? Wait, where's my wallet?

Seriously though, I would never leave an infant or child unattended so when this happens it feels a bit jarring. If I could pick anyone to leave my kid with, in Sandrock, first choice would be Grandma Vivi. She might not want that responsibility but I'd ask nicely and offer to pay her.. supply the bottles and diapers and toys..

Mabel might be an option as well. She does seem a bit forlorn now that Elsie has suddenly become so grownup and independent.

Anyway, just a thought.

I would love to have a way to keep the baby outside of the train tracks, it drives me nuts. I mean, Logan does most of the parental care, but the baby still manage to put himself on hams ways... Vivi's already called gramma by Andy, so I think she would like it as much as Mabel.

Me too. I wish I could say that Fang was helping but his "Family quest" triggered the night before I was due to have the Baby and he hasn't been home to help so I keep getting these cut scenes where I am leaving the baby home alone and then racing back to try to give it a bottle or change diapers or whatever.. and what do you do when it's just you? The story continues regardless... I'm not sure if this is how Fang's story always triggers or if it was just by chance and a bit of bad luck with the timing.

I'm wondering if the Daycare could work in a way similar to how the jobs do with your Spouse or Rosie, so that child care could be assigned and/or maybe you would need to have a certain level of friendship with Vivi or Mabel to be given the option.

I would really love to see some kind of option like this so I wouldn't have to feel like I was abandoning my child because of the story. (Instead of the Baby "going back home."my Spouse or myself would go and pick them up from whomever was watching them.) To be clear, I am staying home, and trying to put the story progression on hold a bit but these cut scenes just keep coming so this situation keeps happening.

Having a daycare/babysitting feature would be really cool (or having an official hand-off to keep the baby with your spouse while you're out and about with work to take care of). It takes a village to raise a child, after all, and it feels off to just leave the kid home alone when you have work you've gotta do

I found my baby lying in the middle of Martle Square once. No idea how she got there.

Yikes! I've never found my Baby lying anywhere other than their crib so far but that would be pretty immersion breaking.
