Those bloodstone-based commissions will really drain your clay supply.
I stopped picking those commissions after a certain point.
Or more accurately, they eventually stopped popping up so much after going up in workshop rank, since they got replaced by other things.
Though, I do wish that clay was in ALL of the abandoned ruins, not just the very first one.
Also, I wouldn't mind if the Mineral Refinery was updated to include more things.
More ores able to be ground up like Nickel and such, and also add clay into the results of something like the Stone refinery option.
That only means you're not into that part of the game or you're already surpassed it. There is some period on that every single day has 1 or more commissions that requires clay and it really drains our ressources. But I think that is still ok, what wears me down is the simple circuits fad. There was a day when I had to find 5 circuits into the mine because there is only 1 outside and the Breach is random.
The only mineable source is the Eufala ruins (copper & tin) and I'm past those and exploring the Gekko ruins (about halfway thru those). I go back to Eufala when I need copper and tin, but I never seem to pick up much in the way of clay that way. Maybe it's because I reset and redo the 10th and 11th level instead of earlier levels, I don't know, but clay has become a rare resource for me.
I always dig up more than the ore nodes though as I enjoyed digging through dirt in Portia ruins. I also like to uncover the cool old world stuff since they put some real design work in the ruins for Sandrock.
Honestly, I'm selling sand and rocks just to empty my storage for more room.
