Where is boxwood?
I didn't play early access much but I see some forums say boxwood can be found in the eufala desert from logging, but I have never seen any boxwood and am pretty sure I have chopped down everything I can in every area. I need it for the Yakboy Wall Lamp recipe, so if anyone knows where to find it I'd appreciate it!

Yeah but Boxwood itself only comes from Boxtree's. Its necessary if you want to make the lamp the OP specified. I haven't done Much testing but Late Late Game....I don't think it will be a factor to take a few Box Tree's down.

I am blanking on boxwood. It doesn't sound familiar.

I may have to check that out.

Update: Ah. Boxtree's. Those big Trees near the Train Tracks. 3 over by oasis, 2 near fishing hole near workshop. Thats why I didn't know. I never cut them.

Edit: By the way, I don't recommend cutting them. IF its early game Burgess will catch you. I cut them down in my game (To check, I didn't save so its a future that might have been. I didn't get "Talked too" but its late game, not sure if I am allowed or what.

Kick the boxwood trees, that will knock some boxwood loose.

I only got boxwood from cutting down the tree where the bus station goes, near the fireworks. I never got a warning for cutting down that tree. It re-spawns in the normal 2 days. I never got it from kicking them as that usually only gives bark.

I got some boxwood from Yan for my character's birthday one year.

But if not, like others have said, the large trees around town. Just be careful of Burgess. lol.

At one point during EA, Large Deadwoods gave Boxwood; I've stashed away enough for a while.

So I am past Catori World and Grabbed Burgess for a Playdate and took him Boxtree lumbering. No reaction. I ended hangout and Did another one and no reaction.

So I THINK Late Late game it might be ok to chop the Boxtrees. I really don't need a Lamp so ....I doubt I will.

Edit: Done with Chainsaw. I now wonder if Axe might have been a better choice, maybe the scripts aren't geared for Power Tools.

Unfortunately this doesn't work.

I chop the tree's all the time, nobody cares as long as they don't see you. If they catch you in the act they'll try to run to you and hand over -10 reputation but if you don't let them catch you I don't think you actually get the penalty.

Well, if you want an option where no one catches you ever; climb over the fence from Eufala Salvage and you'll find two Boxtrees that aren't officially within city limits.

There are a few other recolor options that require boxwood.

I wonder if you chop up the box that's always in the tree if you will get boxwood.

Thank you, I'll see myself out.

The only problem with this is getting back out again. The best way to get back out is to have a mount with you because the mount will leave that area and it won't be able to enter that area again but it will run along the side of the fence trying to reach you and then you can get on your mount from the other side of the fence and then you will be free

Hello, I have 2 questions:
1 Where did you get the recipe for the Yakboy Wall Lamp ?
Where did you climb over the fence from Eufala Salvage ? I can’t do it personally. There's an invisible wall.
Thank you

The spot where you can jump the fence is behind those gates in Eufala Salvage in the first area that you unlock at the beginning of the game, it is where you can break down things such as tires and a bus frame, after you get in that area go to the East side of that fenced in area and you will see a drum barrel with a box crate on top of it and at the other side of the fence you will see a dry boxtree, hop on top of the barrel with the box crate on top of it and then jumpover the fence, when you are done chopping down the tree your mount will be along the fence where you entered and you can just rid him to escape. You can't get in that area from any other spot
