single player or multiplayer?
I don't have any friends with Sandrock right now. Should I still start a multiplayer game in hopes I can convince some to get Sandrock?

Besides the obvious "you can play with other people in multiplayer". What are the other pros/cons of the two versions?

Can you transfer a single player character to a multiplayer game and vice versa? if so what will transfer?

Singleplayer and multiplayer are two totally different experiences from each other and not transferrable from modes. Singleplayer's got the main and character stories, and multiplayer's more of an alternate universe sandbox type of thing, so it's ultimately up to what kind of experience you're looking for

I would personally recommend singleplayer if you don't have folks to play with you, I think you'll get more out of it that way, and then you can always load into multiplayer separately if you do find someone to play with (of course, if you want to do multiplayer, you can still load into random towns or start a new town with just yourself to invite other people later if you want, but it really is less engaging playing alone imo)

ah thx, if multiplayer is just a sandbox mode that answers my question. I'll stick with single player for first run.
